In predicted odds, this bill looks like it will head to Biden's desk.

Religious freedom is being attacked once again with 12 Republicans support.

I wonder how bad this persecution will be? Days of Obama or worse?

It is sad that many will pay the price before it will probably have to be pushed up to the Supreme Court just like the Christian Baker who was attacked years ago.

I saw this article myself including the Democrats are currently pushing a new Bill that Biden will sign and Senate will pass REVERSING Roe vs Wade.

Believers better strap on their big boy pants because it's about to get ugly.

After that there's another Bill coming for us to go 100% electronic currency. No more printing money. Everything done through a computer chip.

Sign of the Times if you ask me.

the bill protects legally married same sex married couples and legally married interracial married couples from discrimination. What religious freedom is being attacked exactly?

what persecution have you personally experienced?

Roe V Wade was reveresed by the Supreme Court for.....reasons no one can quite spell out

i think you are referring to House Bull 7231 which calls for the Department of the Treasury to support the development of an electronic dollar. This would be an addition to the country's concurrency not a replacement, physical money is not going anywhere.

All the bill does is federally protect same-sex marriage. There's absolutely nothing in the bill that says churches have to perform same-sex weddings.

marriage is between a man and a women , as God intended.

what same sex is a legal partnership.

they can call it a marriage all they want, it is not.

Well yeah but if a church doesn't want to perform a same-sex marriage, they don't have to. That's what the courthouse is for. That's why when you're married at the courthouse they ask you if you want to include God in your wedding vows or not because not everyone in America is Christian.. Pew pols indicate that over 60% of Americans have no problem with same-sex marriage. Imagine a government representing the will of the people. The horror

I would add that the reason behind this bill is because there's a certain demographic in America who's trying to turn America into the Christian version of Saudi Arabia and use their religion to take away people's rights
I will stand beside you all day and protest for your religious freedom but I won't stand beside you to take away someone else's rights
But the same people who are trying to use religion to take away people's rights have the audacity to pretend to be persecuted when society pushes back

rights come from God, not polls, not the government.

The Constitution says otherwise the amendment clause to the Constitution literally says government can't pass any laws that favor any one religion

I'm pretty sure it's still illegal at the state level to bring religion into legislation
Also federal law trumps any state law. That's why the states who have legalized cannabis, it's still illegal at a federal level, they just choose not to enforce it... That's why that Court clerk from Kentucky went to jail for breaking the law, then the state got sued and taxpayers were on the hook for it because cause of her

(the bill protects legally married same sex married couples and legally married interracial married couples from discrimination. What religious freedom is being attacked exactly?)

What happens when someone is brought to court over discrimination?

Religious organization do not marry gay couples or agree with it. They also do not hire or allow them into leadership.

(what persecution have you personally experienced?)

Mine is minor in comparison to those under the Obama administration. Minor to places like China but the persecution starts somewhere.

(you mean the baker who chose to discriminate against a minority?)

No. He was an artist. When do we force artists to make art against their beliefs?

Roe was unconstitutional. It never went through the proper methods to be federal law.

God and religion are two separate things, @gb9 was not talking about religion but you shifted the conversation.
God/Supreme Being or other titles are mentioned in all state constitutions.

I think it's worth noting that the Christian objection to "gay marriage " isn't about rights. The objection is born of love. God doesn't bless rebellion but obedience. How can God bless a relationship that He has clearly repudiated in scripture.
While Christians have sometimes been unloving in making this known is to the shame of Christians. Notwithstanding the failure of God's people concerning the matter, those who foster disobedience are themselves disobedient.

Excuse me for being a patriotic American who honors the Constitution. All those men didn't give their lives to protect the Constitution so American can become Saudi Arabia.
When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression

The foundation of the Constitution says our rights come from God and male to female marriage is required to sustain the society just as murder is outlawed but both are in the Bible. Most of our laws are founded in English law which had the Bible as the majority moral code for legislation.

Among many things that brought Rome down was the decline in sexual boundaries.
