we have the 45th school shooting this year 11 dead... maybe increasing school security would be prudent. maybe security should be just like a prison...... you have to walk through two locked doors just to get in the building. you also have to walk through a metal detector.. .. require everyone to present an id at the door..no Id no entry.

They actually had that type of security already implemented when my kids were attending high school near Philadelphia, PA. That was back in the late 1990's.

No visitors could get past the security guard without signing in the main office and having ID. Metal detectors were used daily. Random searches of lockers & backpacks daily. And every student had to wear an ID tag with code. Also, police on duty in and around the school.

That's no environment to grow up in. It's totally crazy.

Think about it. You have metal gates, metal detectors, armed guards, bells that go off that tell you when you can pee and eat, you get fed information in a place you're legally compelled to be at, so that you can eventually leave and contribute to a system you don't consent to, all while living with the fear of violent attacks day-in-day-out. Sounds a lot like prison to me.
