You know, I posted this is thread in hopes it would be of interest to everyone. It isn't a topic that's necessary for debate nor is it something to fight over and drag politics into. Yet..... Whatdayaknow.... Yall did it.

Unfortunately, it was too cloudy for me to see last night, but the moon here had a reddish tint and the sun earlier in the day was so dull in light you could look straight at it. I'll post pics others took and loaded on Facebook.
Well I for one thank you very much. I actually saw it last night and wouldn't have even looked if you hadn't posted this yesterday. Thank you for the "heads-up" it was pretty cool to see, and know what I was seeing. It was super bright too I might add. It wasn't too long ago I saw a shooting star by chance as well, man His creation is just amazing.
Thanks again Elizabeth.

Why would God honor Zoroastrianism by leading them to His Child (about 2 year old)??
All indications is that they took the prophecies in the writings of Daniel, believed those writings/prophecies and God honored their faith by leading them to His Son.
not sure i would call it honoring, i always thought it was because the bible was pointing out that Jesus was known to other nations outside of Judea.
so what is the point of the bible making a point that the magi (most likely not Jewish) came to visit Jesus?
