So which part turned you into a blubbering crybaby... the part where I said he didn't sing or use his talents for the Lord... Christians won't miss him at all... or, the part where I said I hope he at least got serious with the Lord before he croaked???

You must be one of those false grace, seeker, sensitive, carnal minded, friendly with the world kinda Christian that God has zero respect for!

You worried about what the world thinks when you should put the Lord first and consider what He thinks..,.. that;s the major difference here

Common mistake made by many today... but, hang in there man! Jesus will teach you some stuff if you stick with Him!
After spending a bit of time reading the dumpster juice that passes for your posts, I can only come to a few conclusions:

1. You are not Christian whatsoever. You never have been, nor ever will be. You talk the lingo pretty good, but you're only doing it to rile people and troll them for your sick amusement. No judgment about your lack of faith though. I'm not a Christian either, or at least not one according to your definition of it.

2. You are NOT 47 years old. If I had to venture a guess, you are no older than 21, in college, and feeling assured that you have "it all figured out". Posting, getting people to respond, then you firing the volley back is amusement for you. Strange choice of hobbies, but whatever floats your boat.

3. You've got to be one of the most passive-aggressive "men" I've ever encountered. It's not a redeeming, nor masculine quality. It's fine if you "don't care" how you're viewed by others, but I think I can see the lace on your panties from here.

In summary, I am not sure why you are playing this ruse and adopting a persona to cause trouble here, and I probably don't want to know what goes on inside the hamster cage that you have for a brain. At the end of the day, you're the one who has to live with the consequences of your choices. Good luck with all that.

Two unrelated things:
1. YIG is better at slice-and-dice than even Bob Dylan or King David.

2. Poor Gregg. The father of five, and yet this has been all about the center of attention -- our most verbal troll.

Ain't nobody wants to hear 'bout cho sick cross dressing fantasies.

Not sure why you are so offended by someone saying Mr Allman did not use his talents to glorify God, which is a fact.

And, that I hope he got saved before he croaked.

You obviously have a personal problem...

I'm blushing. That's the nicest compliment anyone has paid me in a very long time. Thank you.

I'm not... I'm on a Christian talkboard speaking with other Christians, not speaking with unbelievers.

Obviously I do not go out in public and address sinners this way... but some Christians (being worldly, and carnal minded) make a big deal out of famous people as though it's their idol or something and I simply pointed out that this guy did not use his God given talents to lift up the Lord and to glorify God which is true.

Hey, I used to like the Allman Brothers and sang their stuff in night clubs back in the day. I was into many of the southern rock bands... until the Lord taught me that He does not accept worldly music because it's ungodly and not inspired by Him and His people have no business being infatuated with the devil's music. I understand that some Christians disagree thinking it's OK to be worldly...

So, he will not be missed much by true followers of Jesus Christ who are not spending time being friendly with the world and tapping their toe to secular music most of which is in direct opposition to the Lord.

This stuff ain't going to be found in God's Kingdom since the Lord does not appreciate or accept worldly music.

So, no I have not missed the Lord's boat...

God's people always come first... our love for one another is how those in the world will know we are the Lord's people.

You should pick a better verse to reflect loving those that are without.

Now, you have never seen me in public locally interacting with unbelievers, so you are not qualified to comment on that other than having wild erroneous imaginations about it which you have expressed.
You may be correct because after lots of thought i cant justify the decadence of rock stars in any "good" way other than a use of talent and creativity which God gave them.

Creativity and talent..in my opinion any ways...is necessary for staving off stagnation of our gene pool.

Maybe its not just us but many of Gods creation have been creative enough to put off extinction for just a little while longer.

Think about the squirrels that have gotten comfortable with humans,or crows that have learned to do things like drop nuts in roads because they know that the cars can crush the nuts for them much more efficiently than chipping away at the nut with a beak.

These are thoughts born of creativity that God gave them, just like creativity of music or any other form artistic expression.
