It is not news, Israel has always done airstrikes against Syria, and I hope they are targetting military stuff, I would hate to hear that the historic city being destroyed.World heritage, better not destroy anything important. Isreal will not want that, and will not bomb innocent people.

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

OK, do not know what you try to say. Speak in code if you wish. No relation to my point about preserving world history and protecting civilians. If anything your comment argues that it is OK to bomb damascus, I do not agree with that, sorry.

My point is this is a prophecy, a determined judgement by God, and it will take place.

OK, where does it say that?
Isaiah 17:1, it is a reference to the Gog Magog war with Israel that takes place right before the tribulation starts which is in Ezekiel 38. This war sets the stage for the Antichrist to make a peace treaty with Israel. This verse about Damascus is either a result of that war or immediately precedes that war.

But Syria is defeated, so where in your bible can you justify bombing of Syria now? Apart from starting tribulations, that is supposed to be under threat, not under all powerful strength to destroy. This is not a war, This is being a tool for the US or vengence. Syria is defeated already. No biblical reason to attack them at all, none. Would only ber to hand control over to islamists, and that could nerver be Gods will, right? If Assad fall, Syria would turn Sunni in a month.

I'm not justifying anything, I'm simply saying that God has determined this judgement and told us that this will happen, it is a sign of the coming tribulation.
