Are there any movies where lots and lots of liberals die?
Well, Idiocracy is mostly about the culling of 99% of liberals. The bad news is they do it by out breeding the rest of humanity...

This thread has evolved into comfort food. I'd say that's a win we can all live with.
If Trump had just promised Americans more chocolates... there wouldn't be any turmoil right now.

Imagine if that was his whole platform, just chocolate...

- "I'm going to build a wall... so no terrorists can sneak in and get our chocolate"

- "I'm going to lower taxes... so we can all have prosperity and chocolate."

- "I'm going to create jobs... so no American will send his children to bed without chocolate."

- "I'm going to preserve our freedoms... so all men have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of chocolate."

- I'm going to MAKE AMERICA CHOCOLATEY AGAIN!!! "

He should have just talked about chocolate.

I see your point, but what about we who have a palate for the bitter and not the sweet? What about we whose preference is salt and not sugar? Do we not have a voice of representation? Are we to be left as lone voices whose cries echo within the walls of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Republic? I beseech you maxwel, allow us our bitter portion so that we may balance the sweet majority. For the love of truth, let truth be seasoned equally!

Haha, that would have been hilarious : p

Seriously though, Im pretty sure people would have just thought he was completely insane, haha.

And about the bullying, I gotta point out all the spamments we here on CC have to endure about Trump being a racist ect ect, and we had to hear all the time about how much of a sexist he was and "how could anyone vote for someone who could violate women" and about how hes gonna take away rights of minorities ect ect, so I dont really think I could feel bad for those who opposed Trump, I kinda feel like they got off easy to some extent : p

The president elect has promised that no more jobs will be exported and has hinted that manufacturing jobs will be brought back. If the latter is true, let him begin here:

Bring manufacturing home? Let's start with Ivanka Trump's $100 million made-in-Asia apparel line

Want to bring manufacturing back home? Let's start with Ivanka Trump's clothing line:

Ivanka Trump’s $100 million apparel line is sewn in Asian countries under a licensing agreement with G-III Apparel Group Inc., which has expanded from making coats in New York’s Garment District to become a manufacturer of global scope. That method of moving $140 sheath dresses and $80 sweaters means political embarrassment for her father, who has threatened a trade war against China, the world’s second-largest economy. But she can make a profit in few other ways.

Why Asia? You know why:

The Trump clothes are sourced primarily from China and Vietnam because that’s where fabrics are made and the labor is cheap and skilled. The brand generates an estimated $100 million in sales -- a small part of G-III’s annual take of more than $2 billion, said John Kernan, an analyst for Cowen & Co.

Cheap labor, more profit. Isn’t that why Carrier was moving their manufacturing to Mexico? Isn’t that why Donald Trump has scolded companies like Apple? For manufacturing overseas? Why shouldn’t the Trump family put their money where their mouths are and start by finding a way to make their own goods right here in the U.S.A? Because it’s all about that profit and that bottom line. And as Bloomberg notes, it probably would not end well for Ivanka Trump’s clothing line:

Even if Ivanka Trump could persuade G-III to move all or part of its manufacturing to the U.S., it would dramatically increase the cost of her goods, Cohen said. And that could be a death knell.
“If you ask a person if they prefer to buy made in America, they’ll always say yes, but when it comes to shopping they don’t act that way,” Gribben said. “They want a bargain, they want a value, they want something that looks great. They never look at the label.”

Meanwhile, as a Trump transition team member, Ivanka Trump currently sits in on meetings with the very same people who will be negotiating trade deals down the line. Ones that could ultimately benefit her and the Trump family down the road. Swell.

I don't really know much about this...
but the same article, sourced from Bloomberg, DOES explain it, and YOU decided to leave that part out.

So, after an entire 10 seconds of research, I easily found THIS in the original article:

"The nation no longer has the infrastructure for large-scale garment manufacturing or the labor force"

Meaning... she couldn't make the clothing here even if she wanted to.

The ONE part of the article that explains this, is the ONE part you left out.

Convenient.

Look, I'm not going to defend the Trumps if they do something bad...
but we could at least be honest about things.

I'm waiting for the President elect to give me a raise. If I don't get one I'll launch Salary Gate.

Bloomberg is a right wing source and is certainly entitled to its opinion but it needs to check its facts before making such a baseless comment:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WqmbBkTD34

check this for other USA sources as well:

America Clothing factories in the USA

by the way, the USA textile industry re-emerged thanks to Obama:

Textile industry comes back to life, especially in South

right wing trollbots like Breitbart and others may not like it but it's true
