The rise and fall of the Bombshell Bandit - BBC News

For two months last summer an unusual bank robber shocked, mystified and captivated the US. She was a woman, she was short, young and well-dressed, and she held up a string of banks in quick succession. The Bombshell Bandit told Jeff Maysh her story.

And as the heavy door slams shut, and I watch through the reinforced window as Kaur shuffles back to her cell, I find myself wanting to believe her.

i watched a film this weekend call the bling ring.

the ironic thing about the two ie the bombshell bandit ,and the film, is how easy they robbed or conned money. yet took a large amount of people , it took to catch them. ie police and fbi etc.

yet in both cases the crook and the police, had some form, of trying to explain or bring forward justification of some sort for there actions.

as for the the about 5 and a bit years prison sentence, the bombshell bandit got, she got a fine to pay back the money, my question would be, to this sentence, is how can she pay back this fine back.

She probably can't, so after she clears parole, the outstanding balance will be turned over to the states "balances and arrearages" division in the revenue department (state treasury) -- which will write two or three letters demanding payment, and then forget about it.

Justice in the U.S. Ya gotta love it.

uk justice system is not much better. political speaking, you dont hear politics talk about cutting costs of running prison. when trying to find, ways to cut there budget, to save money. so at a guess ,you would think usa bills for prisons, would be much more. yet joe public is getting hit on all sides to fill there costs.
