Top Ten Reasons;

10) I vote Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I’ve decided to marry my German Shepherd.

9)
I vote Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon at 15% isn’t.

8)
I vote Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

7)
I vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

6)
I vote Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves. I am also thankful that we have a 911 service that gets police to your home in order to identify your body after a home invasion.

5)
I vote Democrat because I’m not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive and comfy.

4)
I vote Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away Social Security from those who paid into it.

3)
I vote Democrat because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrat Party sees fit.

2)
I vote Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

And, the #1 reason I vote Democrat is…….. because I think it’s better to pay $billions$ for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher, or fish here in America. We don’t care about the beetles, gophers, or fish in those other countries.

I was a Democrat back in 1996, then I was a Republican in 2000. Come 2004 and I was a Democrat again. 2008: I was somehow a Republican. Anno Domini 2012...didn't bother voting...guess this'll be my 2016 story as well.

I am honored, my Sister. :D

Here's one for you -- I work with a guy who actually said the following words verbatim:

"The problem with Republicans is they want to keep their money."

I'm not allowed to post my actual response but you can imagine the gist of it.

Hahahaha if I could have been a fly on the wall! I read these ten reasons and thought "that is totally how they think"! It boggles my mind. My aunt, who is Dutch but lives in Canada, said that where she came from you are taken care of from cradle to grave. College is free, health care is free, nursing homes etc, etc. And my question was "and what do you pay in taxes", "oh 50%",she said. smh I almost said "here's your sign".:p

Believe it or not, I'd be happy paying 50% if everything was "free" but as you know, what gets my goat is working for a living and the bulk of my taxes goes to support abled bodied peeps who refuse to work.

I thought it was possible to have a democratic republican country. :p

A democratic republic is, strictly speaking, a country that is both a
republic and a democracy. It is one where ultimate authority and
power is derived from the citizens, and the government itself is run
through elected officials.

However, in recent practice, countries that have described themselves
as democratic republics have not always held free or fair elections. Two
examples of this were the German Democratic Republic and the
Democratic Republic of Vietnam, communist states commonly known
as East Germany and North Vietnam.[SUP][1][/SUP] Another is the Democratic
Republic of the Congo
which in 2011 was rated by Freedom House
as a "not free" country, having a rating of 6.0 (1.0 being completely
free and 7.0 being completely unfree).[SUP][2][/SUP] Also, the 'Democratic People's
Republic of Korea', commonly known as North Korea, is rated the least
democratic in the world, run by a dictator. A republic is a state in which
the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote.

Apparently its not possible. Maybe it was but not now that I can see.

I had hope that the majority of Americans weren't quite as stupid as the press had us believing we were. I was wrong. Today is the day when it no longer matters if we're Republicans or Democrats because the majority of Americans only vote for creeps to run our country. Today was the last day I vote.
