- Abolish daylight savings time

- Flat income tax rate for everyone

- Repeal Obamacare

- New law to put an end to bailing out big banks, car companies, insurance companies (AIG) or any other corporate entity. If they're so crooked that they fail, let them fail!

- Get rid of Fannie May (ridiculously high rate student loans)

- Break up all the megapolies in this country (monopolies made up of a few large companies): big banks, oil companies, airlines, health insurance giants

- Put GOD back into schools and end discrimination against christian expression.

- Get rid of the EPA!

They don't bail out big companies in some European countries. What's left of the business, patents etc etc eventually winds up in China. If we would like the Chinese taking over I guess we shouldn't be bailing them out, but to me not bailing them out is the worst alternative. Whenever the companies are getting "GM" big, bankruptcy ain't the company's problem, it's the governments problem.

zeroturbulence.....so why hasn't the news media phoned you for an interview?" Seems you have it all wrapped up into a simple formula. Is this why you were placed on earth, to be a commentator for your ideas on how to run a country? It makes us wonder if GOD will ask you someday: "Did you make sure that you posted the top issues of 2016?". Or, will GOD ask "How well did you follow my SON and reflect HIM to the masses?"

The chinese have already taken over. About 90% of everything we buy now is made in China.

They even own one of the largest ports in America. In San Diego I believe.

The reason I say the big companies should be allowed to fail is because if they don't it messes up the free enterprise system and we end up with little or no competition in the marketplace. The whole free enterprise system is based on competition among businesses. When there is competition, the consumer reaps the benefits because all of the businesses are trying to win them over.

When there is little or no competition, companies are free to charge what they want and do what they want and the consumer is powerless because there's little or no suitable alternative for them.

I don't see there being reconciliation.

I furthermore don't believe there has ever been harmony.

But I do think the division and strife has gotten worse.

Though there is pessimism, I do believe that the US can be prosperous and victorious in certain areas. Just depends on who our next president is.

Even in areas where I am skeptical, I'm still not going to give up.

Again, I'm confused. What was the purpose of this Thread? I thought you wanted us to post what ISSUES mattered to us? I did not read in the OP that those ISSUES HAD to be ACHIEVABLE. So, either this Thread was an opportunity for people to post what ISSUES matter to them, or an opportunity for you to nit pick/criticize the ISSUES that matter to them.

Now, I am a FIRM BELIEVER that if one Authors such a Thread, they need to step up and be the FIRST to contribute. That way we can nit pick/criticize your ISSUES.

Seems only fair.

You are only 43. So you don't have a real memory of the various times in our History, this Nation has UNITED for one cause, and preformed wonders around the World.

WWII comes to mind...........

Other instances as well........

It is heartbreaking to realize that it takes a catastrophe to UNITY our peoples, but it is heartwarming when we do UNITE.

Top issues?

Low information voters.

Biased media.

Voting for what the government can give for free.

Voting for confirmed liars knowing they are liars and excusing it.

For the cause of Christ
