My journey begins,
By accepting my sins.

In the morning, I wake up thinking,
What's the cause of suffering,
Who, in the first place, wants my coming,
When it will have an ending.

With feelings suppressed,
I end up depressed;
Of course, what is the prize?
Would it be a surprise?

I am telling my insight,
For pain to have a flight;
Can you guess, what is?
And, the depth, that is!

The first, the second, the third;
I kept, haven't you heard?
The fifth, however, I failed;
Sadly, for this, I'm tailed.

Tonight, I'll go sleeping,
Temporarily, my heart stops aching;
Tomorrow, I'll wake up thinking,
"Forgive me, Lord", I will be praying.

This poem is full of rhyming,
To make people approving,
But as I go on journeying,
Myself, will be, I'm loving.

My Heart's Desire

Hello, Ideator;
I am an imitator.
My spare times, was spent;
To imitate, your “Just To Vent”.

My everdearest, dearest, RoboOp;
A letter to you, I sent-off.
I, sincerely, apologize;
For thinking things, that are not nice.

Here comes CCBoth;
At first, to you, I loathe.
Found out, you are a program,
Thought, you are a man, damn!

Oh, ~Marry!
Where is your “Yesterday”?
Miss to hear, you sing-sing;
And for you to say, Bing-Bing.

Hmmm… a special touch;
To a friend named, Dutch;
I intend here, to invest;
To bring forth, what is my best.

To members in pink;
My ballpen is full of ink.
I have no shame, to admit;
I came in, to commit.

In revelation chapter one;
I’m stucked, Cavil-fifty-one.
You know, my only interest;
Is to find, a place to rest.

Because I’m in a jeep;
I have no right to even peep?
Is it the comfort of your car;
That makes you forget the planet’s war?

Pardon me, everybody;
I am a nobody.
Am I messing up your day?
I know, it ain’t okay.

This one, is just a show;
To few people, I know.
To me, a stone, just throw;
But mind you, I‘m holding a plow.

When they listen,
It’s a complain;
When I hurl things to them,
Now, that’s what I call a poem.

Day 14. Write about food. (edited)

The Fried Dried Fish
Date of Writing: January 20, 2014

I was going out one early morning to have breakfast. I was thinking where I would eat that day and what food will I choose. Then, I spotted a little store beside the road. It has a rectangular glass where food was displayed. There! I saw a yummy, crunchy, newly fried dried fish. I couldn’t resist. I turned right and went straight to the store along the sidewalk. I settled myself in a stool and ordered, of course, the yummy, crunchy, newly fried dried fish. It is still hot! I ordered one cup of rice and a cup of chocolate milk, too. That would complete my breakfast.

I savory ate the yummy, crunchy, fried, dried fish. Tasting the crunchy saltiness of it, I frugally and slowly ate. I intended to eat only half of it with a cup of rice. But the one cup of rice wasn’t enough! So I ordered another one cup. Still frugally eating the fried dried fish, I managed to get very small portion from the other half of the fried dried fish. The fried dried fish was Php 20.00, the cup of rice was Php 10.00 and the chocolate milk was Php 10.00. I had eaten two cups! Two cups! The yummy, crunchy, fried, dried fish enhanced my appetite! And yet, I still want to taste the cooked banana worth Php 10.00 for 3 pieces. I consumed 2 pieces of the cooked bananas. I placed in the plastic bag the excess banana, along with the other half of the fried dried fish. I paid a total amount of Php 60.00 for that meal. “Quite expensive for a breakfast”, I thought. But well, I still have other half of fried dried fish for lunch.

Came lunchtime. I went out again bringing my other half of the fried dried fish along with my empty container of water. I ordered one rice and vegetable. One order of vegetable is Php 25.00 and one cup of rice is Php 10.00. Hmmm… I still have my other half of the fried dried fish! I settled comfortably in one corner and slowly, savory and frugally started to eat my food along with my other half of the fried dried fish. I choose to eat only one-fourth of my fried dried fish. The dried fish is now soaked with vinegar making it taste better due to the combination of sour and salty taste. I wanted to eat more but, “Hey!” I told myself, “You still have for dinner”. After forcefully stopping myself from eating the yummy, not crunchy anymore, fried, dried fish; I took a plastic cellophane from the counter and placed in there my one-fourth of the fried dried fish. I got water and happily head back home bringing my one-fourth fried dried fish.

Came evening. I was heading out again. This time for dinner. Half way towards the restaurant, I remember my one-fourth of the fried, dried fish. I went back to my room and looked for my yummy, not-crunchy-anymore, fried, dried fish. “I placed it somewhere here”, I thought to myself. But it’s nowhere to be found! I looked outside the room. There lay the plastic cellophane that was used to contain my yummy, not-crunchy-anymore, fried, dried fish.

The cat found it yummy too! :D

Write about food.
March 2, 2017

Food, like bible, should be received by first saying a grace.

“Bless us , O Lord, and these thy gifts which we have received from your bounty, thru Christ our Lord, Amen.”

Regardless of who prepared it, the food is from the Lord’s bounty. The one who prepared it is the one blessed to become the channel thru which the bounty is passed. The miracle of life is passed thru food. No wonder in His words he asked us to: “Do this in remembrance of me.”

Food is sacred. Forget to pray? What if God forgets to let the plants grow?

* I always forget to say grace.

I miss you.
To walk with you, and run with you.
To bike with you, and swim with you.
I want to hold you and talk to you.
My best friend, can you wait for me?

The Compound Heat Shield of the Saharan Silver Ant

THE Saharan silver ant (Cataglyphis bombycina) is one of the most heat-tolerant land animals known. When the midday Saharan sun forces the ant’s predators to seek shade, the ant makes brief forays from its burrow in search of food, which consists of other insects killed by the intense heat.

Consider:

The silver ant’s assets include a compound heat shield made up of a covering of special hairs on the top and sides of its body and a hairless underside. The hairs, which give the ant a silvery sheen, are tiny tubes with a triangular cross section. Their two outward-facing surfaces have microscopic corrugations that run the length of the hair, while the inward-facing surface is smooth. This design serves two functions. First, it enables the hairs to reflect solar radiation in the visible and near-infrared ranges. Second, it helps the ant to dissipate body heat absorbed from the environment. Meanwhile, the ant’s hairless underside reflects radiation that is in the mid-infrared range and emanates from the desert floor. (The ants other assets include proteins in its body that are not easily broken down by intense heat, long legs that elevate it above the hot sand and enable it to run fast, superb navigational skills, which help it to take the fastest route back to its burrow.)

The Saharan silver ant’s compound heat shield helps the insect to keep its body temperature below the maximum it can tolerate—128.5 degrees Fahrenheit (53.6°C). Inspired by that tiny creature, researchers are working to develop special coatings that enhance passive cooling—that is, cooling without the aid of fans or other devices.

What do you think?

Did the compound heat shield of the Saharan silver ant come about by evolution? Or was it designed?

* I come across this article in Awake! No. 1 2017. By the way, I am a chemist... I mean, God made me a chemist. I am not telling this to boast but to share myself. To further share myself, I am a bipolar but it's already almost a year that I am not taking medication against my family's wishes.

My keeping of Sabbath and a bit of understanding about the bible helped me managed stress. "The healing of the physical body is because of the healing of the soul." I know my fury is associated with my being bipolar.

Day 7: Write a letter to your younger self.

Dear Bing-Bing
By: Cleo
Writing Started: 9:04 pm
Writing Ended: 10:23 pm
Date of Writing: January 7, 2014
Place of Writing: General Santos City

Dear Bing-Bing;

This is the very first time that someone ever writes a letter to you. I know that just upon knowing someone will be writing a letter for you, your tears would already start pouring in. Relax. Don’t get too emotional. We know it is not good, but we both know that is the real you.

I am writing you today because I want you to be ready for the future. Life is harsh. People are rough. I want you to keep that in mind. You will be on your own. It is necessary. That is life. I just want you to keep believing in yourself. People will tell you what they think about you. They might even do what they think is necessary for you. There will come a time when you can’t do anything but to give in to people’s whims but silently keep your faith in yourself. Trust yourself because I know your heart is clean. You will meet people who will desire for your destruction. To uplift themselves. They might win on the façade but never stop to keep fighting. You are strong-willed. It’s never bad. Accept it. That is who you are. When you know who you are, you cannot go wrong.

Life’s trials will make you question your faith. Strive to hold on. Nobody really knows. The fact that you are here now, might… could have prove that there could… might be… something. Life is a mystery. And as I said, nobody really knows. The bible says: man is created in the image and likeness of God. Each could be God.

I know you would never want to do bad to other people. But be careful, some people are not like you. There are people who could be very, very selfish. They will never think of the other person’s welfare. You will meet them. I just pray that you will have the wisdom to be able to refrain from going out with them. In times of despair, never ever take revenge. Revenge will be yours when that person come to realize his/her wrongdoing. Other than that, never could you get your revenge.

There will be times when the ones who you trusted the most, will fail you. Understand them. The ones they trusted the most, failed them too. Never force people to love you. Loving is giving freedom. Loving is seeing them happy. It could be so hurting to see someone you love being so happy with someone else and not you but knowing that they are so happily in love with each other gives you freedom from thinking about those two people’s welfare. You will be free from worrying about the one you love because the one who loves the person will be taking care and looking for your love’s welfare. Isn’t that liberating? Should you choose to continue loving, do so. Loving doesn’t not necessarily require that you be loved in return. If the one you love choose to love you in return, that is because you did not force the one you love to love you back. Perhaps, man is indeed created in the likeness of God.

My dearest Bing-Bing, you are still so young and naïve. I want you to know that you are precious. There are still lots of things you do not know but as you go through life, you will soon learn them. You need to get hurt to learn them. Just keep in mind that those hurtings only polish you… into a better person. You are ready now. Go. I trust you.

Yourself,
Bing-Bing

PS.
I know how you hated the name “Bing-Bing”. I hate it too. :)
