God How do you do it?
how do you not give up
I look at the mess the worlds in
try to look from your angle of love
People are hurting all over
Living beneath broken bridges, on streets.
Third world countries have floors of dirt
And garbage dumps carpet their feet.

Here we throw away food
have five rooms which all lay bare
stacked with things hardly ever looked at
Even Lock them up ....instead of share.

Set it freely on a sidewalk,
set it freely on a lonely street
go sit and watch from a corner
And see who walks up for grace to meet

I mean really?
A chair can do something like that?
You might be surprised when you see...
Dressed in fatigues , a homeless vet.

Sitting down to rest his mind
taking a load off just one leg
being thankful a rest was given
not looking or having to beg

Love given can be grace taken
it is love that talks the most
you might be surprised even further
watching that vet stand and leave that post
only to share it himself with another..

So ... how does God not give up?
It is us by which he works through
Who knows when things suddenly change
A shift, places switch, now its you.

Love your neighbor as yourself
love God, all heart, strength, and mind
its better giving than receiving...
Which sidewalk? which street?, what time??
