I fight.
Not with hand, not with swords,
I fight.
With words of power
With faith of strength.
I fight.
I wave my hands,
I clash not with air,
I wave my hands,
And all evil despair.

I was told this was so,
Trained as a child this was told.

And so I fight,
All the wrongs in this life,
I am a warrior, fearing not this life.

For what is this we do,
To wave our hands as no one knows,
Crazy as it may seem,
We fight that which is unseen.

The enemy draws near,
Piercing our hearts with fear.

I was trained to put on a fight,
These arrows only miss me all night.

For it is the night that they come,
For in the Day we belong.

Light against night,
We are trained to defeat this darkness
That comes during the night.

As words rang true,
remembering the sayings of light that see me through,
For without these words
My hands would fail, as if I had no sword.

Then let us gear ourself,
With Armor of Faith,
Let us wield the words that is our sword.
Let us prepare, and pray for strength,
For we fight to the end,
When our God shall commend!

For not many are soldiers,
Let alone being warriors.

For soldiers are just the beginning,
To be a warrior is to see the ending.

As warriors shall not die,
For warriors never compromise!
In honor we shall believe,
In this belief, we shall obey.
For we obey, we do not die,
For God is on our side.

Ask yourself.
Warriors or soldiers,
But to be another, you must start as one.

And this one is the start,
To read the Words that gives us heart.
For the heart is our strength
That gives life when we believe.

For even more is better,
What is more than a warrior?

Know this and this you are.
A priest as you are.

For priest fight for life,
For priest die for right,
For priest live for light,
For priest give up his life.

Are not warriors these priest?
Are not Priest become warriors?

Remember this much,
To be a warrior, you must learn how to preach.

To preach you have words,
To have words, you have swords,
To have swords, you have Armor,
To have Armor you have the Shield.

So let us all be this Warrior,
That our High Priest has shown,
For our High Priest has won,
This battle so simply,
To die for love,
To give this life,
That we warriors shall defend for life.

I meant that there are no "I"s in Jesus... the one who does the fighting.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

I like that the passion is consistent throuhghout the poem. The feel of absolute resolution and committment. It is the heart that beats for God. Your words evoke images that build not only with the warrior image but within at possible commonly shared references such as Hand in the air, light against night..etc.
I enjoyed your work. Thank you for sharing.
