C
I felt lyk a trapped mouse,
Locked inside an empty house,
With the door tightly shut,
Leaving no escape route.
Trapped by numerous feelings,
All mixed up and twisted,
Into something incomprehensible,
Sending my mind reeling,
As i tried to sort the feeling,
I kept asking myself why,
It always had to be that way,
That i have to go through,
A life full of crazy stuff,
Like pain, paranoia and fear,
A burden i could not even bear,
That's when I heard a voice,
Whispering in my ear that,
All i had to do was leave it all,
At the feet of the old rugged cross,
Where Jesus would roll it away,
And make me feel so free,
So i laid it all down there,
And the Son freed me indeed
Now i walk with my head high,
Singing glory to His name
The Lord is mine.
Locked inside an empty house,
With the door tightly shut,
Leaving no escape route.
Trapped by numerous feelings,
All mixed up and twisted,
Into something incomprehensible,
Sending my mind reeling,
As i tried to sort the feeling,
I kept asking myself why,
It always had to be that way,
That i have to go through,
A life full of crazy stuff,
Like pain, paranoia and fear,
A burden i could not even bear,
That's when I heard a voice,
Whispering in my ear that,
All i had to do was leave it all,
At the feet of the old rugged cross,
Where Jesus would roll it away,
And make me feel so free,
So i laid it all down there,
And the Son freed me indeed
Now i walk with my head high,
Singing glory to His name
