This is my first ever poem (although it's supposed to sound more like a rap than a poem Lol) Please excuse any mistakes or the way it's set out, I struggle to read and write so find it a bit difficult. I'm not sure what the rule is in regards to layout.

We had no right to, come before him
In our sinful position
To behold and adore him
So He had to bridge that gap
That, caused such desperation
With eternal destruction
Because of,
the likes of satan

So he sent his only son
So that we might see revelation
To change
repent
To come out of condemnation
To change and grow,
Become, more like him
To be in heaven one day
Right Beside him

Its in him, We See the error of our ways
Leaving our old life behind
To see brighter ways
Through, cleansing our sin in water
to be born again in him
To find our forgiveness for all of that sin

Then,
receiving the spirit
Who will show us who we are
How unworthy And far, From the person
That We really think we are
To deserve a living sacrifice, that
he did bring
Making us just about worthy to stand
Before the king

But It's down to us
To open our hearts
To hear the word
To be set apart
Meaning
Total sacrifice
Laying of everything down
All cards on the table
Prostrate on the ground

Believing
in something that you will never truly understand
Not base-ing it on feelings
It's all In another's persons hands
And understanding,
Just how fallen we really are
We're not close to being perfect
In fact, we are really far

Don't rely on man
As through man you'll never find him
Not ever by works or even worldly offering
It's a, personal relationship
that only ever uncovers things
It's a sacrificial life
with, ultimate suffering

Learning to hate the world
and what it represents
For the world is sin
and never what The Lord intends
To love it, means, That you never knew him as your friend
And saviour
And He'll turn from you in the end.

So knock
And he, WILL truly find you
For he's already half way to meet you and stand beside you
To guide you
into all truth and revelation
if your heart is sincere
He'll become your new foundation

Great poem, love this part:

Don't rely on man
As through man you'll never find him
Not ever by works or even worldly offering
It's a, personal relationship
that only ever uncovers things
It's a sacrificial life
with, ultimate suffering
