Lord, I thirst for You,
I crave intimate fellowship with You.
To seek Your precepts and follow Your ways,
Gladly so that I may spend my days,
Doing what You've asked me to do,
So that people may come to know You and receive You.
You are a loving God, a gracious Father, a wonderful Counselor, and patient Healer.
A mighty Warrior whom nobody can withstand.
A humble Savior whose love has no end.
I hunger for You like a newborn infant, crying for milk,
Wailing when running on empty.
My soul pants for You like a deer in a meadow,
Wanting to drink from Your never ending well.
My heart truly craves the Living God.
My spirit revels in Your Word.
Restoring my body and sharpening my mind.
I eagerly drink from Your cup,
Hoping that I will be continually filled up.
