Uncertainties of the heart cause restlessness to the soul,
decisions left lingering in the shadows playing it's role.
Choices made not the wisest yet made nontheless,
pondering in the land of thoughts, was this choice the best?
Oh the fruits of my labor spilled out on the ground, did I labor in vain?,
my heart so burdened now with heavy sorrow and pain.
Many months of laughter, many times of refreshing smiles,
Now my heart is saddened, it's been a minute, it's been awhile.
I know I am not perfect, just a man trying to figure it all out,
foolish choices leaving me wounded, a whisper, no longer a shout.
The terrain has green pastures, in the middle there is dry land,
I have journeyed through both and find myself barely able to stand.
Yet I know through all of this If I will set my face towards Christ,
and walk in humility, love, and forgiveness I will be alright.
For the Lord is my true friend, and He is able to touch me with His love,
So that the terrain I am walking on leads to a place made from above.
A land of healing, restoration, and new experiences with Him.

Yes this is my desire, nothing else will suffice,
taking rest now in Jesus, standing, taking flight.
