I will not forget you.
I remember you, my daughter, from long ago; You were the reason for my pain, and for my traveling.
Will you put your little hand in my hand, your words in my heart and mine in yours, and let us walk and remember together, as I journey to forget?
Our words are the wings our dreams learn to fly with, and even after you left, my little one, I see that death cannot separate us,
Yet I am still looking for you.
So I wait, patient as the ocean, searching every face I see, in every crowd, for the smile of recognition that will never again meet my eyes.
I love you and long to hear your sweet, innocent heart and joyful voice again one day; Until then I walk, and I must not stop.
But this I know, Jesus is coming and you will hear His Voice in the resurrection, and rise.
Only then will I allow my tears to fall, and I will stop walking.
