Poem of salvation

[h=5]A calling from on high drawing broken men nigh,
the wicked get wickeder living in lie after lie.
Hidden shames consuming many peoples souls,
driven by a wind where they are going they do not know.
What is it worth to you, to live out in drunken desires,
this burning inside of you a furious and consuming fire.
Laying waste all the good that you have ever known,
lying in misery, torment, and feeling all alone.
Cry out I say, cry out to the One who can save,
be free from this madness, be no longer a slave.
For in this freedom there is liberty, yes, and peace,
a shining of brightness, and a beautiful release.
One man gave it all, His life's blood for your own,
He is no longer dead but seated on His heavenly throne.
His name is Jesus, and He hears those who call out His name,
He heard my cry when my life became an ugly shame.
My heart was heavy, grieved of the lies I was in,
trapped and confused, so lost within.
But one night sick of what I become, tired of running, tired of being undone.
I fell on my face and gave everything to Him,
now I am healed, and set free from within!
This was 9 years ago, and nothing has changed,
Jesus is still my Lord, and I love Him this very day.
Though my failures have been evident, yet my hope abides,
I am going on with Christ, and turning away from all lies!

Conquering now and still to conquer rideth a king in his might
Leading the host of all the faithful into the midst of the night
see them with courage advancing clad in their brilliant array
shouting the name of their leader hear them exultingly say
not to the strong is the battle not to the strong is the race
yet to the true and the faithful victry is promised through grace.

whence all the children which he leadeth while of his glories they sing
He is our Lord and redeemer savior and monarch divin
they are the stars that forever bright in his kingdom will shine
