God and I are one -
I foretold the death of his beloved Son -
Through the ages I have endured -
Being ignored, exaggerated, and ridiculed -
By some treated as trash and by others an object for dust-
My message is true and reading it is a must -
Hear my words, obey my commands-
You’ve been given direction from God - that confirms His plans-
Don’t cover your eyes, or pretend I’m not there -
I am heaven sent from God -to people everywhere
Listen, pay attention, and be a doer- of the words you read
Eternal life is promised -to those who heed
I am the Bible –I document creation to the end
When you follow my teaching -it is Christ you defend
It is me you consult when making a choice
The steps I provide ensure you’re listening to God’s voice
Your opinion – though yours doesn’t carry any weight
For man does not have the power to determine -
who enters Heaven’s gate
The excuse that my words are out of date is a lie
For the words yesterday, today and forever in
Hebrews 13:8 still apply
Before taking a stand – make sure you’re on the right side
For supporting an ungodly cause leads to the road that is wide
Lovers of self but not of God’s word
You deny my truth –your loyalty is blurred
Wake up, repent and read me now
You will discover that being lukewarm is not allowed
Followers of the word don’t loose hope
Read me as much as possible and you can cope
Pray and teach the word to your little ones
This will help prepare you and them for the race you must run
Show your love for God - read me day to day
Keep me closer than your cell phone – for I can show you the way.
