“The Debate”
My doctrine is right. Yours is wrong.
Let’s sing about it in a song.
I can play judge and jury so easily
would you like to play with me?
Please, do me a favor, let’s NOT look
at each other’s sins too closely.
I seem to be falling away into who is
right and who here isn’t acting very kindly.
Is that judge and jury, both of us? or is
it just me? Or is it you? I ask thee.
Are we no longer on the same team?
Christ is more than our Quarterback. He is the KING!
Or he was the last time I saw the cross
and the thorns upon his head in a crowned ring.
Have we all forgotten
this isn’t about only doctrine?
The enemy is coming from the camp within.
Causing Christians such hate and division.
The teachings in the bible have made it clear to choose your battles wisely,
Be careful who you make out of an enemy.
“The least you do to my brother (or sister), you’ve done to me”
Jesus spoke this quite clearly.
Can we agree to disagree
and go on our way peacefully??!!!
