I have cats. They reject me all the time. But not based on my looks...they are just fuzzy little jerks.

But they keep me humble.
No disrespect intended to women here, but having a cat as a pet keeps it real in how to deal with women.

They depend on you, yet they're totally independent. And they only ask of you when they are interested, the timing of which is unpredictable. But you still love them, and they love and need you. But only on their terms. :)

You ain't kidding! There's this one cat my mother has, if you approach the dude he'll hiss at you and run. But if he happens to be on the back of the couch he will purr and want you to pet him. That's his affectionate zone... anywhere else he's a touch-me-not.

I must mention in my experience this cat is an anomaly... most cats I've met always want to be stroked.

Hello...yes, it can definitely be discouraging to reach out to members on dating sites and to receive little to no response. Then, it's easy to make assumptions on why that's the case based on our pre-existing insecurities.

sigh. *facepalm*

faulty generalizations kill me. i don't think anyone who knows me would liken me to a housecat.

well, that's because some of us are a LOT more like golden retrievers.
; p

affable, content, and happy to see everyone
cheerful to the delirium of everyone else.
insatiably playful and energetic, and always up for a game
loves playing, running and goofing off in the rain or water--even fights with it ; p
the day isn't over until all one's energy is spent
falls asleep with a smile on one's face
makes a lot of decisions with one's nose

on the other hand, i know plenty of guys who could fit the personality of a cat.

brooding and solitary
obnoxious and needy, but only when they want attention
unpredictable and random
territorial
prone to naps
primarily carnivorous

see? this gender typing can get a little wonky. or maybe that's just a little projection, considering one of you seems to greatly identify with a cat. : )

Hey don't drag me into this gypsygirl. I was just agreeing with him about what he said about cats. Him applying it to women is his problem. :p

So, you drool then?

See I knew it, boys rule and girls drool.

There, it has been said.

Now if you'll excuse me I'll be in hiding for the next few days.

That is a very interesting question. Gyspygirl, while you are answering him, I have another one for you.

Golden retrievers shed a lot, almost all year round. Do you? :p

I may need a safe house until the storm has passed.

I am at least thankful, that I am not bitter at God, thought not proud of, a little slanted against women

wait, what does "trusting God" look like? sitting in your living room waiting for the pizza guy to deliver so that you can fall in love with him, brought by God?

while i have a good understanding for myself as to what "trusting God" looks like in my own life, i'm really curious what you mean when you said you "got off eharmony" and are choosing to "trust God"?

thanks. : )
Hi gypsy girl well what I'm learning I'd to go out and meet people in person, since I'm shy and that I have some disability God is showing me to go out and meet people face to face. For me is to challenge myself to go out more often and trust God for the right person I meet maybe the one day.

that's really very cool, abbeyjoy. i admire that kind of bravery very much.

may we all find the courage of those who went before us, free to be bold and faithful in our steps, and too determined to accept the bleak when it surrounds us.

thanks for sharing that. : )
