This thread is an invitation for discussion with people like myself who despise ungodly music. I'm not interested in arguing with people who are like I used to be.
In the words of Eric Carmen: "All by myself, don't wanna be, all by myself anymore........"

I can tell at a glance if you are antagonistic to this thread, and since I could easily list all of the things antagonizers will say before they say them, there is no need to read your posts if you don't like the titld of this OP or if you only want to argue. It only takes a few words before I can tell if your post is worth reading to me. If you are antagonistic to the title of this thread, you were not invited here and I'm not going to talk to you. This thread is an invitation for discussion with people like myself who despise ungodly music. I'm not interested in arguing with people who are like I used to be. Why not go make your own thread and see if somebody like me comes there to argue with you? It won't be me, you can be sure of that. I hope you are saved and on your way to heaven, but as soon as I sense any hostility to the title of this thread or the OP, I will skip over your posts and not read them. It's probably one out of a hundred on this site who I wil talk to in this thread. I'm sticking to the OP, and in it I requested to talk to people with the same stand as myself in the area of music. If you don't appreciate my request, I'm not interested in talking to you. You can post all day and talk to all the other people on this thread who don't like it, you can say whatever you want to about me, but I don't want to talk to you if you are antagonistic to this thread or if you want to argue with me about it. Deal with it.

Kinda defeats the purpose of posting this comment doesn't it?

wow, found one!!!!!

God bless you!!!! I often say something outloud in response to the dirty and wicked things they sing about. Sometimes I complain to the manager but it does no good. Sometimes I walk out of the store when the music is too nasty, but I'll tell the manager why I'm leaving first.
My sister was shopping at Christmas and went into one store where the sang playing actually had curse words in it.She left the store then changed her mind and went in and talked to the lady at the counter. She told her she didnt appreciate the language nor the music. The lady said that the music was sent to her by the head office and they had to play it. My sister said that was a cop out and they didnt have to play the music and it was offensive especially during Christmas. I dont think the lady was pleased but at least my sister spoke up.I'd have called or emailed the company also.

Don't blame her, but that's different than what this person is stating........still, don't blame your sister one bit.

No problem Joe. You can still discuss your topic with others who agree with you, and we'll have a side discussion here about the rather uncharitable and aloof way you characterise the rest of us who are:

like I used to be.

Oh, and:

Dealing super hard right now.

If you don't like the title of this thread or you show hostility or animosity toward the thread, the OP, or toward me, I'm not going to talk to you. Deal with it. The thread was created in hope of finding like-minded Christians in regard to holiness in all areas of our personal lives including the music we listen to and sing. If you are not one of those like minded people I was hoping to find, I'm not going to talk to you, I don't want to argue about the title of the thread or the OP. Deal with it.

I actually thought about posting the Shake It Off video in this thread, but that would probably be too antagonistic.

I"m proud of your sister for taking a stand and I humbly thank you for standing up in this thread and telling the story of the challenges we face if we are going to stand for the Lord

So in reference to "Shake It Off", I wonder how many posters here have really good hair...

Maybe I should start a thread in which only people who despise ungodly hairstyles (and agree with me over which ones are considered Godly, of course) are allowed to post...

I wont be reading antagonistic or complaining posts, just looking for christians to talk to who believe in holiness in their music always if they listen to or sing or play music
In an effort to bring some sanity to this thread, I wanna rewrite the OP as I would have written it.........

TITLE: Anyone Here Who Only Likes Christian Music?

OP: I'm looking for Christians to talk to who only like Christian music.

(mayhaps the commentary that followed this OP would have been quite different? Dunno, mayhaps)

Alternatively, we could post a thread that calls ungodly those people who accuse other people of being ungodly because of their taste in music while simultaneously refusing to listen or engage them when they respond to the accusation. In that thread, we could refuse to listen or engage with the people we are calling ungodly.

But do you think that might be ungodly?

Or even this would be better:

Are There Any Christians Here Who Dislike/Don't Agree With Modern Music Like... XYZ Genres?
