Denzel Washington. He's a great actor, down to Earth and devout Christian. No doubt we'd talk about life, sports, Hollywood, and of course, our faith in Jesus. How about you? :cool:

I'm not familiar with him so I looked him up. Interesting choice. Why? Not judging, just curious. Also, can you suggest a good movie of his to watch?

A root beer with Michael Jackson, to get to know who he REALLY was, and not the tabloids version of who he was. I'd want to know Michael Jackson the PERSON, not Michael Jackson most famous entertainer ever. I would have wanted to meet him before all the health stuff came along, when he still looked like himself, and not a cartoon caricature.. :)

I don't drink beer, I've tried but I think it tastes nasty lol. I'm like that guy from Can't Hardly Wait that says, "guys there's something wrong with the beer, it's gone bad!" haha

So I would wanna share a Vanilla Coke with Adam Young. I love his music and he's also a Christian...and he's cute too! :eek:

I don't drink alcohol at all anymore, even if its just one. Got me into too much trouble in the past. If I had to pick a living celebrity though, I have no idea who I would pick. How about the guy who bagged Osama bin laden. That would probably lead to an interesting story.

I'd love to share a beer with the awesome men and women I've got to know through CC. I'd also love to share a beer with C.S. Lewis, Ted Dekker, Frank Peretti, Hayao Miyazaki, G. K. Chesterton, Herge, Tolkien - people like that. But they'd all have to get their own beer. ;)

Drinks of choice:

* hot chocolate
* root beer
* apple juice

Celebrities of choice:

* Angelina Jolie. I like that she's brutally honest about the not-so-glamorous parts of her life (such as her past with cutting.) I also love that she supports international adoption, though I agree that celebs "hop the line".

* Madonna. I'm a child of the 80's and to me, Madge is the original female rebel rocker. Her "Oh Father" video is lesser known but haunting, depicting her mother's funeral (and Madonna portrayed as a young girl who, upon looking into the casket, is clearly able to see the stitches used to sew her mother's mouth closed.) I've always wondered if the early loss of her mother (whom Madonna has said would also torture herself to "get right with God") is what set off her rebellion against God and the church.

* I have to agree with Blue--Michael Jackson was a fascinating person, and handled people being in his business a lot better than I would have. I had only a small glimpse of it, not as a celebrity, but as someone related to someone well-known in our town (for good things, but still...) and having people snidely talk as if they knew me or about my life made me want to punch all of them.

* Sarah Jessica Parker. She's a true rags-to-riches story of a little girl who grew up in a trailer. I enjoy reading interviews with her because she seems like a very kind and gracious person who never forgets her roots. One interviewer was admiring something of SJP's at their meeting, and she just gave it to her.

* Dean Koontz, for the same reasons as Ms. Parker, as well as the fact that he sends handwritten notes in reply to his fan mail (he even spelled my full first name correctly, which is something even some family members get wrong.)

I'm always interested in people's background stories... and would love to hear several from some of the people here on CC as well...

I'll have gunpowder tea with Bach on a Sunday morning. And he can teach me dem skillz...

I'd have mango shake (and cupcakes) with Terri Savelle Foy on a Friday night and I can thank her for everything she's done in my life that she has no idea about lol.

Hot chocolate with William Wilberforce, and a hug. This man's a hero.

Cheers Bro! I'll toast with you to that one!

But really, the best drink I'll ever have in my life is to share a glass of wine with Jesus.

I've never tried beer and I never will, but I would share a chocolate milk with Kaley Cuoco any day. :p

Jim Carrey, Barack Obama, Donal Logue, and Betty White would be awesome too. :)

Aye, now here's a lass who knows a decent beverage! I'll tip my next one to you, CWS!

Seriously, that might be a while... I don't drink often. But I do like Newcastle.

I would like to have a beer with Martin Luther, and an iced tea with my maternal grandfather. I only met him once when I was little, but I inherited several of his interests; he was a missionary and pastor.

I'd share a glass of whatever with Adam and Eve. I have a million questions to ask them. Also King Solomon. Also Neal Armstrong. Shaking his hand is the closest I'll ever be to outer space.

Goood call on the white russians! I havent had one in a longgg time

But I'd want one with Jesus lol...I could listen to that beautiful man talk for hours.
I'd want to share a chilled pitcher of the best port with Willie Mays, ask him how to hit a friggin' baseball like he did

As for famous actors or celebrities...Um..
I'd drink a cold glass of milk with Daniel Day-Lewis...no alcohol, I don't want to see that dude on bourbon or beer. He may slip into his role as The Butcher or Daniel Plainview and start making everyone feel uncomfortable
I'd want some cocktails with Jason Sudeikis...I wouldn't say anything, I'd just listen and laugh.
I'd want to drink with Jerry Seinfeld...the character from the show, not the actor lol. Just because again, the character seems pretty relaxed and funny in his own way.
I'd like to also have beer with Larry David, again the laughs.

I'm sure there's more, maybe for another post

From what I've seen of him on screen and read up on, he's talented and hasn't gone for roles that were in bad taste (as far as I've seen at least). From what I've seen off screen (the "big screen," that is), he seems like such a level headed, humble, good natured guy. Definitely my type of person.

What kind of movies are you into? I'd say his best work has been his role as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game and as Sherlock in the BBC series, Sherlock, but he has done a smattering of things, including theatre.
