Alright kids, we're going on some fun and AMAZING dates. follow these 8 rules to set up a quick & fun experience! original or traditional all up to you. lets see how creative you can be!!!

1 Can't repeat date ideas!! <
2 MUST name a place where you would take your date (none of that stay at home crap)
3 buy a gift to take home and commemorate the memory
4 do something out of the ordinary
5 name who would you take
6 bought or collected date items ( as in like souvenirs)
7 how would you end the date?

8 you can only spend $28 dollars for the whole date. (a fun handicap to get you thinkin on your toes ;)

The city is your playground so be fun and unique! follow the rules and tell us about yours... ;)

OK! I'm going first.....I would take Jeremy1981 and a picnic....and a video camera to Neck Point near my house...

The $26 would be spent on awesome picnic snacks...and bubbles.
The video camera would be used to document all the ridiculousness that would ensue simply by virtue of the fact that Jeremy and I would have a camera at our disposal. We would end the date by editing our video together to look like we are the most awesome people on the planet and that everyone should want to be us....I think our souvenir will be the video. i was going to say something cheesy like shells from the beach or something, but i feel like we'd probably lose all of those before we ever left the beach because i'd be busy hucking them at the kids making out behind the rocks.

I feel ultimately flattered that Meggars would pick me (as well as spending money). I am going to put my $26 to hers and and like we said in the Random Room, hitchhike to Vegas for an Elvis Chapel Wedding. I'm not quite sure about the idea of travelling to Graceland to exhume Elvis's remains, cos that's ever so slightly mental.

As a couple, we would totally be able to blag loads of free stuff from well-wishers. We would then sell all of our free Vegas tat, and buy a riverboat, where she and I would love our time away catching shrimp. From those profits, I would encourage her to buy shares in a computer company that makes phones and tablets...and...has anybody seen this movie???

Now the OP gets his chance ;)

I would take my lucky lady Esthefany to walmart and pick up a picnic blanket, two kaleidoscopes, graham crackers, a bag of mash mellows, 3 king size bars of hershies, a cheap camara and some chocolate milk haha. from there we'll drive to north Texas to this one beautiful and vast valley that has blanket of dandelions on top to contrast an immense bed of grass.. strikingly beautiful.

Once there we'll run around the grass and dance to the blasting hardstyle/techno/house mix from the car speakers.. after a couple hours of shakin our booties I'll get the camera and take snapshots of each other in the craziest poses at random times as the sun begins to set..
6a00d8341c00c753ef01538e25170d970b-300x169.jpg

once the sun is down, I'll set up a small campfire and put our blanket next to it. then will I'll get the snacks and make some YUMMY smores for us to enjoy! (and try not to make a mess hahaha) ..and after we're done devouring the deliciousness we'll move on the next and coolest phase of our date...
firepitsmore.jpg

lay down and cuddle on the blanket:cool: and using the kaleidoscopes we will explore the starry night sky looking at the constellations without any light pollution... the pics we took will be our souvenirs to take home and show off on facebook! hahaha :p

I am assuming that gas already in the tank is excluded from the $28, also assuming that stuff that is in my deep freeze as of right now is also a "freebie".
I'd take a wild horse on a driving tour of the metro, starting about 10am. We'd dine well for lunch at Lee's Sandwiches on $9 (seriously), after a stroll though the largest Asian market in town.
Then, we would swing by my house to put some dead animal bits I already own into my smoker for later. Next it's off to the lake to meet up with friends of mine for about 4 hours of wake boarding lessons. They are always looking for someone to teach. I'd drop her at a female friend's place monetarily to shower & put on some comfy shoes and clothes that breathe well, I'd go do the same at my place. We'd then dine on slow smoked goodness, while cruising Route 66 out to Arcadia. We'd pick up sodas @ Pop's ($3, no caffeine in mine) with the nifty bottles as the souvenirs. Then it would be off to a night of Contra dancing! $16 would get us in the door, and there's all the free snacks & lemonade we need... but who is slowing down for that, really. I'd dance Every dance, some with her, but other times would get a more seasoned dancer to partner with her. By the time the night was winding down, she would know what she was doing and we'd savor the last few dances. Maybe we'd get lucky enough to end the night with a waltz. On the way to the car, I would pick a flower. I would place it in her now empty Soda Vase that awaited us in the cup holder of my lil car.

I would end the date by dropping her off where she was staying while in town.... politely walking her to the door, then awkwardly squeeze her hand, smile shyly and run to the car... because even after a day with her, I'd still be too nervous to even try to give her a hug.
I'd expect to not hear for her ever again, and would go home and camp out on the internet until I nodded off in my chair, then wake up and fold some laundry in the middle of the night (cause that's just how I roll), shower again (got sweaty dancing), and go back to bed.

...but this is all hypothetical because of two reasons. The most obvious of which is that I cannot go out on a date.also, I don't think Mustang would go out on a date with me

Me and my hubby would...
Pawn the kiddlins off on a relative for the whole day. We'd hop in the car and drive to the Green River (have to go to Utah for where I wanna be), with our ducky (that's pretty much an inflatable canoe- 2 person boat) and paddles and sunscreen. We'd launch and raft through Split Mountain, which would take most of the day, stopping for lunch (sandwiches and chips from home- $0) on a sandy river bank and pick verbal fights with the big horn sheep and geese. Get to the take out point, pack up the boat, drive a few miles to a little cafe with THE BEST malts- chocolate for both of us ($10 there).
On the way home, we'd stop at the gift shop in the town almost on the border between Utah/Colorado, pick up a t-shirt ($13) and chintzy little keychains for both of us ($1 each).
The date would end by picking our babies up from a probably frazzled grandparent.
Money spent- $25.
:D

2. I'm going to assume this date starts AFTER breakfast, ha.

I'd go to the dollar store for a pack of dowel rods and string (2). Fortunately I have lots of leftover fabric, mod podge, and regular glue in my craft bin at home to bring along.

My date and I are going to down to St Augustine beach on Anastasia Island...it's beautiful and usually not too crowded so there's room to make our kites, and test them out.

We can then head inland to downtown St Augustine and stop by a food truck for lunch (Mother Fletcher's truck to be exact...swanky gourmet for cheap) ....the best menu items, the teriyaki wings or the filet mignon steak and potato sandwich are 6 and 7 dollars respectively so we'll call that $16 to include drinks.

After food, there's always stuff to explore on and around St George's street for free in downtown St Augustine (oldest city in the U.S.)...people performing, wearing costumes, little shops, poking around the fort and Flagler.

3. The kites are the souvenirs?

4. see number 2

5. I'm assuming you meant someone outside of the family...my first choice would be my kid brother. Since this is a date, I choose one of the guys I met who performs at a local weekly open mic that i like to go out to...we keep running into each other EVERYWHERE and come to find out we actually have quite a bit in common after chatting a few times. I would feel pretty weird initiating anything romantic but he's got enough of a sense of humor to appreciate kite making on a friendly date without it turning awkward.

6. besides the kites, any unusual seashells

7. ending the date? blow the rest of the money on grabbing milkshakes for the drive back home (depending on traffic, st augustine is maybe 25-30 minutes away from my home)

How about going for a long bike ride, stopping along the way to watch a free Little League game or softball game, buying hotdogs from their concession stands and ending up lying on the grass star gazing?

I've only been about four or five times, but I love it! I have actually taken a date there after a picnic in the park. I think the picnic (which included wine) and dancing totaled about $26, because I had a coupon making one of the dance tickets half off. Good live Celtic music!

...so I've kind of already satisfied the criteria, right, OP?
