Curl up with a good book and a supply of hot tea and cocoa.

Go to the city and see a play

Sleep in

Invite some friends over for a movie marathon

Bake bread

Sit in CC chat all weekend

Ok those are my ideas

All that cinder said, PLUS -

Go on a long, long drive with nobody in particular

Try out a new cuisine (do that on Day 1, so if anything goes wrong you will have two days to recover)

Backpack to some obscure tourist spots around the city - some place that has a legend built around it

Cook something

Step out of your home and leave the planning to God

Here is my weekend "to do" list. Maybe it will help inspire you -

take down Christmas tree

get oil change

vaccuum

recycle

practice Brahms waltz

make lamb stew

file papers

set up auto payment for loan

adjust Netflix account

donate

go to that novelty shop in old town to get masks for next week's party

water the plants - repot the aloe vera

finish stained glass project.

If I get just half of these done, I will feel like I accomplished something!
hope this helps!!! :D

Bake bread and give me a loaf. I'm out and it's too late this weekend for me to make more, on account of sourdough takes a long time.

Alternatively, come help me with the music projects I'm running.

Okay, a real suggestion... Go to a restaurant by yourself, eat a good meal and listen to conversation going on around you.

If you like serendipity, go to the mall, sit on a bench and wait for someone to talk to. The most amazing conversations will start. You don't even have to try to talk to someone, they just start.

Take lots of naps. Those who sleep more live longer.

Well let's see today I am, doing laundry, cleaning, packing, taking my son to his basketball game and going to a movie with my Husband.

Tomorrow, going to Cleveland Museum of Art, then going to spend the night with friend's that live in Mentor Ohio. Oh and church and teaching Sunday school in the morning.

Monday, driving home from Mentor, making a pit stop at my cousin's house in Jefferson Ohio to drop some boy's clothing off to her, then coming home, getting kids stuff ready for school Tuesday and working for someone that evening.

YES! please!!

I assigned a student Brahm's Waltz in A Flat. I feel I should know it too if I am making him do it. The ending section is tricky. I need someone to practice if for me and magically transfer all that skill and knowledge to me.

In A flat? Um... How is his instrument tuned relative to concert scales? Because I'm thinking A flat is really hard to play if his C corresponds to concert C.

Actually, it's not anywhere as complicated as you think.

Wind instruments and percussion play comfortably in most flat keys, strings and keyboardists typically prefer sharp keys. The odd one are instruments that are keyed in E-flat (alto sax and clarinet, bari sax, E-flat clarinet), who prefer flat keys, but after transposition, reading in sharps.

This is primarily why wind instruments and string instruments are taught separately through middle and high school (band and orchestra, respectively), with balance being the second reason.
