- To a gamer this acronym is slang for "Good Luck Have Fun," but as an author I look at this with a different perspective. In my observation, I can recall four absolute words that I would desire to have in a relationship, and those four words are:

GENUINE: Being real with yourself, and to others. Don't be wishy washy, don't be someone you're not, and don't be fake.
LOVING: Be content with who you've chosen to be with, find the reasons you've loved them, remember that love endures.
HONESTY: If you can confess your sins to God, you can definitely confess your mistakes, faults, and anxieties to your love.
FAITHFUL: We can't just say, we're only human.. We need to REALLY try to love God & others as we love ourselves, never cheat, and never stop giving up, it's 100 times harder to recover from a fall with either so DON'T DO IT.

{This is my first thread after finding Christian chat. My goals are to try this site out and see how things go, along with helping others, gaining feedback from others, and maybe someday finding someone to spend my life with along the way.}

Might be a good idea to not make your first post an instructional one. People don't know you, so you have no real credibility at this point. And without finding out what is known and understood already by the general populace then you run the risk of going over things already known, or not needed.
I suggest holding off on the whole 'i am here to save the day with my posts' vibe and just get to know the people and the vibe first. Then perhaps start sharing what actually might fit the needs of people here, rather than assuming you already know.

@ Ugly That's a good point, but even Paul told Timothy Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. What I speak comes from my heart and from what i've seen. I'm not about to let anyone hold me back :) including myself just to save face. People don't become jesus freaks by holding back, but I do thank you for your feedback.

I don't remember looking down on anyone.
I said nothing about anyone being young.
I do remember offering some friendly advice.
Apparently you would rather find offense.
Can't help but love the irony. You come here and immediately start informing others on how to live, but when a suggestion is given to you you seem to think you are above it. You seem credible. False accusations and an unwillingness to take suggestion while feeling the need to tell others.
Welcome to CC. I look forward to more accusations and attacks from you in the future.

@ Ugly Calm down :p No one also is shutting you down for your advice. And in defense you would neither know I was a credible source or was if I didn't state that I was new to this site. I could always be credible elsewhere. It's not the point of credibility, it's the message that is spoken. :)

I don't really see how anyone would take this negatively. His post is a sound one and at any rate, as he said, what he desires in a relationship.

Welcome to CC, Brandon!

I seriously have no clue where the friction came from in this thread. Anyway in response to the OP, I don't think I could choose any other relationship characteristics that would improve upon your selections.

I second that. I thought it's a rather creative way to introduce one's self. :)

And, we've seen so much worse lol

This is wonderful! Beautiful desires for a relationship.

Those are good thins in a relationship

I always thought acronyms had to spell out an actual word or name (learning something new every day :p )

As I've had some clingy friends, I'd have to add something about being unclingy for "my" relationship :)
As in: One needs time alone, and time with others now and then

Well shoot. I thought this was a game thread.
I was all ready with my answer.

Duct tape

Which has double points because it's two four letter words.

Anyway. Welcome Brandon. Great post.
