When I was in 3rd or 4th grade my teacher (who I had a crush on) invited me over her house for dinner because she knew I loved trains and her husband had this huge train set in their basement (it was really awesome, too!). She asked me beforehand if I ever had rabbit before and I told her no and didn't think anything of it. The dinner was delicious and I could swear I had eaten ground beef with that sloppy joe sauce. I loved it. She asked me later if I had liked it and I said yes and I asked her if that was really rabbit and she said yes. She said her husband is an avid hunter and it was a wild rabbit that he killed in a hunting ground somewhere (not from their backyard lol). There were a few trophy heads of big animals hung on their walls so I believe her.
