I post and then I'm too lazy to check most threads.
Would be nice to have a bookmark system that tells you where you left off at.

I've put nearly 5 hours in today working on my paper. I'm bushed. Whether or not I ought to, I am going to load up a DVD and watch something entertaining for a while this evening to let my mind decompress.

Five hours is about all I can put into an intense project unless I am really enjoying it. Then I can go for ten or more.

My dog got her excitement for the day. The gas meter reader came at 8:30 AM and she got to bark at him from the time he came to the front door, when he went to the basement to read the meter and then when he walked out of the house. She has a very deep howling bark, it's not scary, it's more like she's howling at the moon. But it's 8:30 Am, a week before school starts, it's a time when we don't have to get up early. I wish they'd move this meter to the outside of the house.

The meters are all outside here. Probably because we don't have basements due to earthquakes. I don't like basements anyway. I find them kind of creepy.

As far as I know, it does (I just learned this the other day while reading the User2User Tech forum.)

First, subscribe to the thread by 1. posting or 2. go to "Thread Tools" and choose "Subscribe" in order to sub to the thread without posting.

To check on the activity of all your subbed threads, hit "Settings" a the top of the page, and all your subscribed threads are shown. Then you can either:

1. Hit the "sideways" blue arrows at the END of the thread title to take you to the last post in the thread, or

2. Hit the "facing down" blue arrows that the BEGINNING of the thread title, which will take you to the newest post after you left off.

I didn't know this last little trick until this past week. If I remember right, the system used to show different colored boxes for posts that you'd already read vs. those that were unread, but this little tip comes in pretty handy.

P.S. I just checked, and the system also still seems to use the "colored box" method--if you look at blue line above the post that states when it was last made, you'll see a little box beside it.

For unread posts, the box will be blue, and for posts that were already read, the box will be white.

It used to be though that the colors were a lot easier to tell apart--something like yellow and green, and so now I just use click the symbol before the title of the thread after seeing the list that "Settings" brings up.

Thanks!...

To whomever suggested The Pilgrims Progress...

I got it and will begin it later.

I don't remember why or to who it was mentioned but I thought it sounded good

THE GAME OF THRONES VIEWING CYCLE:

1. "This is the best show EVAR!"

2. "Hey I think I just found my new favorite character!"

3. "NOOOO! Oh God no! Why did they have to kill him off?! WHY??!?!!"

4. "That's it. I'm done with this show forever!"

5. (Return to 1.)

Or if you have already read the book, you just sit and watch with a smug smile on your face because you know who's about to get knocked off.

At first I was so confused by all the characters and plot lines, I was almost always wondering and asking, WHO is this and WHY are they doing that again??? Reading the books actually did really help sort it all out for me quite a bit... but that was way back at the red wedding part, and my daughter forbade me to read any further than we had watched up to that point :D A few weeks ago we watched the catch-me-up preview to the current season opener, and then that night, following the Matchbox Twenty and Counting Crows concert, we watched the season opener. It was so late at night that I fell asleep and we had to watch it again a week or two later, when we watched three (or was it four?) episodes all at once :p

I stopped watching at the red wedding too. I was just so disgusted and appalled. But the people I worked with were like "it gets much better!" So like a year later I decided to give it another go. GLad I did lol!
