Every one said terrible two's, I thought 3 was way worse. There was a Wal-Mart incident with my son that I'll never forget. He wanted this toy and I said no. He grabbed the toy, ran out the door into the parking lot, my husband and daughter where in the car waiting. Husband saw me running, saw my son and caught him from behind. I was shaking and this woman who was loading stuff in her car, she looks at me and says, "You shouldn't let him do that it's dangerous". I said, "seriously lady, didn't you see me sprinting across the parking lot?" Then I took this screaming child back into the store,.told the greeter what happened and we needed to return the toy. She said, " that's terrible why did you let him do that?" I had to leave before I said things that should never be said.

All this talk of babies. Now I want baby back ribs. (and NO not those disgusting thing's that Chili's tries to pass off as "ribs")
Yeah, and, not the dry meat, ucky, yucky-yucky, Applebees 'signature' style kind that stick to the roof of my mouth, and, on a date, no less ! :(

------

What we, men, want, grrrr, are the kind that come straight off the Angus, sliced straight down the flank, scraping that meat off that cow and sticking that slab straight in orange juice and ketchup and lemon and soy sauce and salt 'n peppa, and, paprika, and, garlic salt, and, garlic powder and mustard and, hmmmm, does anyone know where I was going with this?

Sometimes, I think, I just need to put my ole green brains right on the coals of a fire bbq campfire grill, and, ROAST 'em ! :(

Sigh :D

I've never been to Chilli's, but I agree with GreenNice about Applebee's Rib's they are disgusting. They do have a good 7 ounces sirloin steak with Romano Cheese and grilled shrimp on top of it.

I have an 11 month-old baby you could borrow for a while...it would be more cost-effective for you, and you could just give her back to me when she gets a little older and isn't as cute anymore...

What is wrong with me?!
Did you know that you used to be able to mail children. A Mailman would accompany them on the train for the price of a stamp. I'm not kidding, here is a link to an article. Bizarre.

You have exquisite taste.
You can't say that until you've seen the coat! :p

if it's green, it's a favorite of mine, too, popclickedysnap :D

you're a seamstress. what a delightful gift. your real name is not 'Lydia,' is it? "Lydia" is in the bible, ya know, milady :)

--------------------------
Time to go walk the dog. She's recovering so nicely from hurting her leg in September, x-rays said 'knee,' potentially, although was not sure either, as I understood vet and knee doctor say. They did say surgery probably best option but.....I read on internet that knees can heal if care is taken. So, I went that route.

Been a lot of careful, watchful, guarded care, the Lord leads, but, leash walking and, low activity, a.k.a., "kennel-bound," has her walking good now, even trotting, running, but, I limit her doing that.

I do miss the hide and seek and chase games we played all the time her first 7 years of life, but her leg is just not what it used to be, in my parental opinion :D She's older, too, 8 in April, life changes, and, we should joyfully adapt, and, follow Him.

But, yeah, praise God ! She's healed. :O Prayer changes things :)
Only as a hobby. Though my name isn't Lydia... at least, I don't think it is. But how would I know for sure? :O

And I'm glad your dog is doing better. If I remember right, you said that her eyes weren't even open yet when you adopted her? You must have taken excellent care of her to have her survive and do so well.

I was talking with some friends about a story circulating on the interwebz about a server who had asked that a little girl remove her "squeaky shoes", not bothering to notice that the child was disabled and had difficulty walking.

Whatever happened to common courtesy/decency?

I remember being teased because of my hair/freckles/developing early/bird legs as a child.
One friend talked about how difficult it had been dealing with a hearing loss.
Another talked about the fact that she draws her eyebrows on because she was badly burned in a fire and they did not grow back properly. Another added that the same had happened to her when she was undergoing chemo and lost her hair/brows.
Another talked about being teased for having to wear hand me down clothes that were ill fitting.
Another about her weight.

I bet we and everyone we know has been teased about SOMETHING. It would be great if folks could remember how that feels before mocking someone else in this way, huh?

I am so grateful for a momma who would have slapped me silly for behaving like that. She's still a very loud voice in my head.

I know I'm going to sound strange, but...

Lately I've been watching the horse show jumping competitions from the 2012 Olympics on YouTube. For some reason, it's very relaxing for me. The nature of the videos is quieter, the horses are beautiful, the way they move is so fluid, the announcer is a soft-mannered English gentleman with a soothing voice, and just watching them fly over those tall poles...I don't know. I like watching it. It's the same thing over and over, just horses jumping over things, but before I know it, a half hour has gone by and I feel very calm.

I got my hair done. Didn't go blonde, because it would have been too expensive though I did make it lighter. Not sure how I feel about my hair right now...I'll take a picture of it soon, though, and show you guys.

True, five weeks old, eyes closed, what a memory, popclickedy, you must be a seamstress, as a hobbyist, of course. :D

she was fed karo syrup with milk for a week or two and she turned out AOK. The Lord's doing, of course, I just raised her, milady :)

I am beginning to write- a short story? A novel? It's in me. It's a wonderful concept and I believe unique. I don't know how long it will be. But it'll be fun :)
