Thank you, I will be fine, I really wish I could just sit in a pool all day, the heat is awful.

It's supposed to be emotional and they. I really can't stand auto correct.
i think i rather prefer emotioral. and since it's not in the dictionary, i am going to bless it with this definition:

e-mo-TI-or-al, adjective.

1. when a person uses emoticons excessively

*adds to lexicon because i can*

I used to work with a lady that said Chimley, instead of chimney and libary instead of library, it drove me a little crazy. One day she kept talking about how she needed to have her chimley fixed. Oh and creek, was pronounced crick. Ny son hung out with this kid for a while and his family called the CREEEK behind their home the crick. So David started to pronounce it that way. I had to put an immediate stop to that.

This girl in school kept saying LABTOP instead of LAPTOP. She said it to me about 5 times that day.. I looked her dead in the eye and yelled "LAPTOP. LAAAAAAPTOP. L-A-P-T-O-P. LAPTOP." Woops wasn't my finest moment but at least I got her to stop?

Ugh! WORDS. Yeah...the one that makes me crazy is when people say 'nucular'.

Is it 'didn't' or 'hadn't' when speaking about the past? I seem to use them nillie-willie and I dunno if it's correct half the time, and most of the time I don't care to check

like should it be: hadn't effected or didn't effect ?
I think bugeye gave a good response, but I'll take a different angle and probably confuse things instead of simplifying them. You use didn't with something that is completely done in the narrative or whatever you are talking about. And it can only be used with one isolated incident in the past. Hadn't comes in as part of a perfect tense which requires you to relate one past action or event with another past action or event (the change bugeye was talking about).

Ex. I didn't eat ice cream at the party.
I hadn't eaten ice cream until I ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's at the party.

In the current situation it should probably be either didn't affect your typing or hasn't affected your typing.

And inner grammar nerd will return to its corner now.

My aunt says "Worsh" instead of "Wash"... I corrected her one day...and I pretty much got the "death glare" and was told to never correct her again when I KNOW she's correct... and I kept on and on and on... needless to say.. I haven't seen her in years lol

I think we need a Word thread. I can't think of a quirky name but yeah. We should have one

My grandparents leave Saturday morning, taking the last of their things with them. My brother and his wife close on the house Friday and are moving in on Saturday as soon as our grandparents are gone. The only day I'll have any help available to me for moving will be Saturday, so I'll be moving into my brother's place as he's moving out of it.

It's like a weird game of musical chairs, but with houses.

I'm just glad I wasn't the odd one out.
