So, I went to work and came back and - |PoOf| - things happened I see.. But that is Ok, we have a God still here right?!!

My first thought was, "I wonder if we should check with Jesus on some of this? I'm sure we could find something written somewhere that could help." And now I am thinking, "I am sure we should check with Jesus on all of this, because His Word is to live and die by!"

Self-indulgence is a refusal to struggle, a refusal to make ourselves fit. We must be right ourselves in line with God in all things spiritually before we can help others to be right. Where are the Scriptures bouncing off the walls here in counsel?

I see the right and wrong arguments being mandated, but spiritual value has nothing to do with those arguments. One of the reasons we lose fellowship with God is that we will explain and vindicate ourselves; we will not let God hunt thru us and chase out the interests of self-will and self-assertion. Folks, I am not interested even in peace here, but rather the face of God, it is only there we see the right and wrong of it. I am interested in loving one another as Christ first loved us! Hey look Scripture! That is unconditionally and that is tantamount to impossible in our own strength.

Let me challenge us to come up with one Scripture the Lord lays on your heart to reconcile this issue - this is practical loving. And His Word would soothe my soul. Isn't that what we came here for? It is what I came for!

Ok, I know I am getting wordy here, but I also want to say, there is a difference between the human sympathy we give to a discouraged or broken-hearted person and what the Holy Spirit will do for them. We may sit down beside a broken-hearted person and pour out a flow of sympathy, and say how sorry we are for them, and tell them of other people with broken-hearts; but all that only makes them more submissive to being broken-hearted.

When Our Lord sympathizes with the heart broken by sin or sorrow, He binds it up and makes it a new heart, and the expectation of that heart ever after is from God. We must stay the course here in Christ folks. Let God be our refuge and our Master.

My verse is:

(Luke 6:31): ...New International Version (NIV)

31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

But one needs to think about that before God speaks to us thru our spirits, for His Word is alive and Active - dividing bone and marrow - separating spirit from flesh. God wants us all to minister Himself to others here, are we looking for that? Have we submitted to that? Earnestly? And they all said - "AMEN! Lord, lead us into the valley of milk and honey once more! For it is not our will Lord, but Thine's we shall follow and lean into." :). Ok, I threw the pencil down now ... I'm done. May we learn and forgive and move on...just another chance for Jesus to teach us all something of Spiritual value wrought out by righteousness.

Sounds beautiful Auntie Ant - it makes me wanna put my travellin' shoes on ya hear me LOL :D I also use Oregano in my cooking :p hahahahahahhahah
That herb is grown in Oregon and that's why it has that name. You can google that if you wish to verify if what I'm telling you is accurate or you can take my word for it, either way it goes well in spaghetti sauce. Don't know where spaghetti comes from but surmising that it comes from the grocery store.

Nacho's are corn chips and come with a cheese sauce and jalapeno peppers. I have never had them either. As for the convention I have met another member of this site who is now a former member several times for lunch as we live close by to each other. I have spoken to another on the phone. My wife exchanges cards with many members and has spoken on the phone to others as well. I met my wife on this site shortly after I joined. Yes, the convention idea would be nice so we can physically see each other. For most of us that will probably have to wait until we get to heaven.

I laughed, is it supposed to be funny? Why?
The logistics of arranging an actual CC meeting would be overwhelming due to distance, financial concerns, commitments and interest. Several members have done this on a very small scale and it worked out good. The feasibility of a convention would probably depend on the most part on the number of members involved.

That was one cool dream that you had by the way. Underneath the word Tourist on my name tag would be my name of Jerry.

Perhaps we could have some sort of convention on this site. That might be seriously fun. We can become a little vulnerable by allowing others to know a few personal details of who we are and what we are about.

I have come to know a few of the members very well but there are those who write little or nothing about their personal life or even willing to tell anyone their name. I can understand the reasons for this but it makes it hard to really get to know one another.

I see, it makes sense but is sharing personal information allowed?

It would not be wise to share actual phone numbers or addresses or places of employment but first names certainly, names of spouses or significant others, a little info on previous relationships if any and perhaps just a little bit on what a typical day is for them. You could start off by saying what you had for breakfast or that you're frustrated because the clothes dryer ate one of your socks again.

It is 9:15 AM here in Florida. I woke this morning at 7AM which is sleeping in for me. I haven't had any breakfast yet but hoping that my wife makes pancakes for breakfast. I made them last week. Today is a day off from work for me. After breakfast we will do our morning devotion together that consists of reading a chapter or two from the bible, a page from a daily devotional, and a bible study guide. Next, we take turns saying a prayer and then close the devotion with a kiss.

Yeah, just common stuff like that to show that we are actual flesh and blood human beings on this site, that we are real and not virtual. I'm a real person as are the members of this community. I enjoy interaction with the other members and have a desire to know who they are and what they are about. To do this you have to take a chance and allow yourself to be a little vulnerable.

Here is my challenge scripture slave:

1 Cor. 13:4-8a: "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."

Bella, if you are hanging around, know this: We love you and we want you to stay.

I have a feeling the Bella will not be visiting us in this thread anytime soon. She's a sweet sensitive person and the accusation hurt her badly. I feel horrible about the whole situation. I tried to PM her but she no longer accepts them.
