why is everyone 40-60 years old on this forum.
Not everyone, you have just been looking in the wrong places. If your looking for a dating site: this will never do. To us: age doesn't matter because we are going to live forever. Well fellow chatters, it is time for this old man and his dog to hit the bed. So goodnight sweethearts, one and all.

Well if that were true, which it isn’t, I could say that it is by the Lord’s design, but since that isn’t true, and that we have many different ages visit here, ranging from about 18 years and upwards, then I’d also say, that that’s also by the Lord’s design. Say what?!!? Make any sense to you dear one? Thank you for visiting with us. J

Well. This morning I woke up at four with an urge to pray and praise. Energized, I did some laundry and vacuumed. Then it was tempting to get back to sleep, so I did. More laundry and a failed attempt of making waffles I ended up with herring instead.

And this was as much nothing in particular I could possibly achieve this morning. And I have started to sneeze. Allergy or just a cold? I am not sure. It seems to cold to be allergy. Well below freezing here.

I find myself here at 4 am with a deep desire to to know and experience God's wonder and glory first hand.

You experience the fulfillment of this desire each day my friend. I do too but there are times that this overwhelms me and this leads to periods of depression. This is one of those days as I feel that I am falling short in the tasks that I have been assigned to do from God. This is one of those days and I feel that my game is off and a step slow. I did take out the trash though, and fed the cats and put away the clean dishes out of the dishwasher. In a few minutes I am going to the store to pick up a few things that my wife has asked me to get.

I have found in my life that if God can trust you in the small, mundane menial tasks He will put His trust in you with much larger tasks as part of your overall assignment. My primary mission right now at this moment is to be a loving, supportive and faithful husband. It is a huge responsibility being married but I am fully committed to this and do so willingly with love in my heart. She is definitely worth the investment of my blood, sweat and tears and deserves the very best that God has to offer. I must play my part in this and will continue to soldier on fighting the good fight and keeping my eyes on the prize.

You can and will play your own part with what God wants and expects from you. I have confidence in you that you are up to the task.

Your day sounds a little like mine in doing a few menial chores to get your motor running and your head in the game. Well above freezing here in Florida. I made waffles once and they turned out OK but my specialty is French Toast. I did make pancakes the other day though and they turned out OK too. I put maple sappy on mine. Maybe I just have a sweet tooth and like the pure sugar taste of syrup. I will have to ponder this today.

While loading the groceries in the car I banged my head on the trunk lid. I told God that I didn't feel that this was part of the plan but in the grand scheme of things what do I know. Although it hurt a little, jarred my thoughts, and there were stars prancing in my eyes at least I can think clearly now. I'm starting to see the big picture.

This is true but it still is a fascinating conversation and you can learn something about yourself as well. Apparently, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Actually, I met my wife on this site. While this may not be considered a dating site there is always a chance you will meet your heart's desire when you least expect this to happen. Then again you may bump into your one and only while you are grocery shopping in the produce aisle thumping the honeydews. You just never know who God is going to send your way.

I guess I am officially one of the old folks here now. And I do appreciate the wisdom and love in this thread.

Jovan. You see. You are not the only in your twenties here in this thread. Blain is an outstanding fellow your age. He has loads of wisdom, and is highly respected here.

In the singles forum you can follow Joefizz, that has his own way of saying the most random things, Winerose has a very special place here, too.

Open your eyes and heart, and suddenly you find that you too have your special place here.

Yes, we are not to BE SNAKES, we are to be as WISE as snakes. The key word there is wise. But I understand you are a frisky Saint, which simply means a spirited Saint. Hey who here isn't spirited in being a Saint? - right?:)

Good Morning Fam!

I was thinking this morning about our Mr Trump - I know I'm sorry ... But God commands us to pray for our leadership, in order to have Him intercede, not to have Trump intercede as a non-christian. Anyway, as I prayed this morning for our government I was reminded of the old days of Reaganomics - remember that? The Ol' trickle-down economics, and Jesus spoke to me of the economy of God in view of that theme:

I do not pray our world is saved, I pray individuals are saved enough to affect our world and
governments.

"Whoever receives you receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. The one who receives a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous persons reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward." (Matthew 10:40-42).

Talk about Trickle-down economies! I pray the Word God has given me today uplifts us all. Have a great and productive day my friends in the Lord! The bottom line for me is - God will do everything I cannot do, but He will do nothing He has constructed me to do. As we live by righteousness so shall we be like Jesus inevitably. Here is your cup of water today followers of Jesus! ----->

Yes, the big picture - first "How many figures am I holding up?" and then, "Do we believe Jesus is all and in all?" Let the bump of a trunk be an experience Jesus is in, but let the Holy Spirit teach us things about our experiences that gives us inspired and enlightening revelations - right?!

I pray your husbandry will be served well by your first love being Christ Jesus! In this she is well served and loved indeed!
