I was thinking about Stilly's cliche thread and how love, itself, so often becomes a cliche. Don't allow that in your life. Love has value. There's a price to be paid. It requires things of you. But the return on your investment is indescribable. :)

Even Jesus said this about the cost of love and following Him:

LUKE 28 - 25 Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple."

I'm a romantic. I confess. :) If you need a love song, let this be it. It's been mine since I was a teen:

LISTEN TO THE SONG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-75QnMjukCo&feature=related

Written in Red -

In letters of crimson God wrote His love

on the hillside so long, long ago;
For you and for me Jesus died,
And love's greatest story was told.

Down through the ages, God wrote His love
With the same hands that suffered and bled;
Giving all that He had to give,

in a message so easily read.

Bridge:

Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Chorus:
I love you, I love you
That's what Calvary said;
I love you, I love you,
I love you, written in Red.

Revelation 2: To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,
‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
