MY I say something? There was a time when I thought there was only one limitation to be married: It was real love. Now I know the age is not the only hindrance I have to face... Here in Venezuela (probably all the world) money and its economy has to be considered before marrying (but this is not LOVE, unless you plan to rise children and purely depend on money as a "love" bond). The age, perhaps, may help when sorting out the economic factor of REAL RELATIONSHIPS, but shortcomings come at all and any ages, so money is not the real bond in LOVE but in week relationships biased for MATERIALISTIC INTERESTS... So now I see that, the age, serves me to find a nice chick, a beautiful face or body, but -while being too young or immature- there are more chances to fail, to cheat, to divorce... Because we haven´t settled the core issues of LOVE: Companiship, common goals, same FAITH and likes.

Yeah, we discuss all those things here. But they tend to be sorted out and spread among various posts, as opposed to lumped into one giant discussion. This is just a general post to see what people think about the age range they prefer to be with. It's not a real in depth discussion of all the various details of relationships. Many of the posts here in the singles forum are just to find out what people like, and don't like. And why. Mostly these are light hearted discussions.

This is purely out of curiosity... But why is it that you're looking for someone 35ish? I'm just wondering from your perspective since I see this on the dating sites all the time... Men in their 50's and 60's trying to talk to the women in the 30's room. I've heard some older men say they're looking for a woman to have children for them... I'm guessing with a 17-year-old, this is not your reason?

I'm asking because I'm curious. Why are older men never interested in women their own age? I always think about the fact that if my Mom were single (and she's beautiful), she'd never find a man because they all want someone my age.

And it makes me sad for all the gorgeous women out there in their 50's and 60's who are all passed by for the 20 and 30 year olds... By Christian men whom I guess, assume this is God's will?

I've never met a 50 or 60 year old woman who's wanted to date a man who was 47. Most of them (if single) are not interested in dating by that age or if they are they want a man in his 50's to maybe mid-60's. I see what yer' getting at seoul. I doubt much of it has to do with looks as so much it is young girls make men feel powerful...they don't question as much,where as an established,seasoned woman of his same age has been around the block & knows by that age what she wants & isn't going to be playing childish games. I've seen quite a few physically stunning women in their 50's & a few in their 60's,but I know if I tried to pursue one I'd get laughed out of town. Like I said at the start of this thread for me dating a woman in her 20's would be pretty odd & I'd have to really really believe it was God telling me to do such...this is saying that said 20 yr old is even interested in me. I'd much rather be with someone in their late 30's to upper 40's. I'm not obsessed with looks,I just want someone who's somewhat intelligent & loves to laugh...the same exact things I want in my friends!

LOL..I've seen bits of it yeah...but I was thinking along the lines of real normal or christian women...not freaks like those chicks.LOL

Hi well im 23 and my husband is 22 we are like 7 months apart but I dont think age matters as long as you love each other
