It is said that " is better to have LOVED and lost than to never have loved at all"
But is it better to have never loved at all and have known the pain of Loving and having your heart broken?
What ya think?

Depends on what kind of love one is talking about. A life without romantical love doesn't seem too bad.
But to go through life without love for and from others... sounds terrible, maybe even impossible.

I think it's better to have loved and lost... because you have somewhere to pick off from!! Love doesn't guarantee that we won't go through pain, but with love you'll get through... its better than going through life with the knowledge of possible love but never trying and with constant fear of being hurt...

The Love of God is Unconditional even though He gets hurt by our words, our decisions, or our actions... Just choose to be more like Him!!

What a ridiculous saying.

Alfred Tennyson wrote that.

I think a lot of times poets say things that dont necessarily ring true for most of us, but do for the one who wrote it.

If i had known the outcome before hand of being in love, i certainly would have avoided it. Sometimes you never fully get over it. Who would want to, and willingly walk around in pain just to say that they've been in love.
Not I

Because of the limitations imposed by sin and death, the ONLY loving relationship that has NO end is the love of God, which is eternal. People break up. People divorce. Eventually one of you will pass away, whether young or old.

So what do we do, never love at all? I think not…the dance is amazing.

I think I’ll answer that line of prose with the lyrics of a song:

THE DANCE – Garth Brooks

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd have had to miss the dance

You mean like the idiot who said 'Stick and stones may break my bones but names can never hurt me!".

Past pains will hunt you if you let them. Pain and fear of being hurt will prevent you from moving foward. Why focus on the (What IF) and dont think about the pain you have had but focus on the joy of the LOVE you have recieved. There is no garanty that you will not sufer heart brakes, but to have felt the Love and happiness that a partner can bring is worth living for. To stay in fear of possible feauture pain will stop you on your tracks from even getting close to any one. Let go let GOD and live.
