I would talk about my feelings to God instead of rebelling against His authority.

Do you believe that all things work together for the good of those who love God? And ...how have you seen this at work in your life so far?
Yes, I do believe this. I guess I can go into my testimony, which reveals some unlovely things about myself. But we are sinners saved by grace.

To try and make a long story rather brief, my father is bipolar but was also physically and emotionally abusive to my mother and my sisters. My mother left my Dad when I was ten, and we moved in with my grandparents in a two bedroom house. I seethed with rage and hate. Not only did I want him to die, but I wanted to kill him myself. He was still periodically terrorizing us during this time. One night, when I was twelve, I became acutely aware of my sin- this sin of murder in my heart. I knew I was going to Hell and deserved to go for my consuming hate. I cried out to Christ to save me. I was completely helpless. I knew I could not get rid of this hate on my own. The very instant I was saved, the hate for my father went away.

I later told my sisters and mother that I was sorry that they had to be abused, probably in order for me to be saved. You see, I was such a good child- a pleaser, without any real egregious sins. I probably would not have ever known that I was a sinner and lost. I probably would have thought academic Christianity was enough.

So, growing up in an abusive home worked for my ultimate good. Nothing is better than being saved.

Probably, Saint Francis of Assisi or Martin Luther. In the past I would have said Ghandi , but apparently he wasn't all that he was cracked up to be ....he had some unsavoury habits and motivations.
Francis of Assisi because he was an animal lover and a humble man and Martin Luther because he was the personification of guts and courage to stand almost alone against that ravenous monster aka Rome.

When did you have your first crush and on whom did you have it?

I have lots of those! Off hand I will mention one that is appropriate for a public forum.
I was elected to be the MC for the senior Prom.I didn't prepare properly and so I waffled my way through the speech with nothing witty to say.It haunts me to this day.Plus in the video of this event, the camera zoomed onto the paper that contained my speech...it was all crumpled up with the words being indistinguishable from each other - which is part of the reason my speech was such a prodigious fail!

The highlight of your week so far?

I have a silver name tag bracelet that I had inscribed, "Alongside." That represents to me how when all else fails God will always be alongside me, my brethren will be there if they can, it also represents my life now to go alongside others and parent them as we teach and train others to be disciples in a loving relationship of discovery and discussion.

What would you prefer? Banana Cream Pie, or Cherry Pie?

That you need a police check and a licence to be both a parent and a pet owner.

If you could have 5 minutes alone with Trump - what would you say?

I would thank him for standing up for the rights of the unborn and encourage him to try to find a way to defund Planned Parenthood for good and tell him thanks very much for ending the horrible practice of sending taxpayer money abroad to kill babies in foreign countries.

( For me it was when I was depressed and needed treatment - a so called " brother" said that I should go ahead and kill myself.)

I think the worst insult ever thrown at me was being called a hypocrite by someone I love very much and whose opinion I value.

I'm very sorry that someone should say that to you, that is a terrible thing to say to anyone.

What is the best compliment you ever received?

I think it was when another brother said that I was made of steel.Just shows you that we shouldn't let other peoples opinions of us sway us either way.:)

I will ask the next user about their best compliment too.
