The Bible says, 'a hope deferred maketh the heart sad.' Father God do you hear that? You promised to give us the desires of our hearts if we but seek you first, and some of us have been waiting much longer than we expected.

Queen, I hear you. Jesus told His disciples that some men are made eunuchs for the kingdom of God. I'm sure this wasn't what they wanted to hear.

Until that time comes if and when you receive your husband, I would encourage you to ask to be filled with The Holy Spirit. Spend a good few hours just being still and knowing that Jesus loves you, and see if there's anything He wants to show you about your heart.

And, as a welcome side effect, a woman who is overflowing with The Holy Spirit is VERY attractive to a guy who's a child of God ;)

Yeah, His time is not our time, that's for sure :)

Praying for your loneliness to be taken away.

I feel your pain queen. My life hasn't exactly gone as I thought it would either. Some of it is my fault and some is just life and the times. I am however still breathing, and thus there is hope. 10 years ago I was going to marry my gf, then some things happened to get in the way of that with the result being I'm still single. In between that life got in the way so I haven't had a relationship, casual or otherwise, with anyone in 10 years. Everyone knows plants and insects make wonderful conversationalists.

I know what you mean. Because I'm heavily involved with youth ministry and a ministry school, I'm around people half my age daily. There are weddings going on all of the time. Now that my 21 yr. old nephew is getting married in June, I have to admit that it bother's me somewhat. Lately, when a girl closer to my age catches my eye, I find out she's headed overseas.

In all honesty, I can understand why I never married before. I simply was not ready. However, since getting saved, the Lord has taught me much about what it means to be a loving husband & father so I do believe that I will get married at some point. I'd even love to adopt to if opportunity presents itself. But the days have become weeks, the weeks have become months and the months have become years. I must admit that it does bother me.
