Why do people continually leapfrog from one the world is ending theory/conspiracy theory to another, even though each theory keeps on failing? Why don't they wake up and realize that hey....maybe I should quit investing so much emotion into something that never comes true?

I think it may be due to a desire to feel that sweet sweet feeling of panic...

panic.jpg

And also because there aren't enough roller coasters...

litter.jpg

Some people find emotional stability a total bummer ...
bored.jpg

So to livin things up....they drench their nervous system in end of the world/conspiracy theories...

bucket.jpg

But then the theory fails as they always do...and they sing...

Oh that panic feeling..ooh that panic feeling..now it's gone...gone gone..oh oh oh...

People like to have a "cause". Some people volunteer, some people educate, some people lead, some people make terrible youtube videos.

Others...like to panic, and try to gather as many other panickers (shut up Firefox, I know that's not a word) as possible.

Because adrenaline and insanity in large groups is fun.

Well, it is biblical that the world, as we know it, will eventually end.

However, I don't think God will be making the announcement on Facebook.

Maybe because they are manipulated into it, and don't want to appear like "sheeple" (i.e. lulled into a false sense of security like the "masses" only to be doomed in the end), and so they think preparing for an end of the world will make them seem smarter.

Or maybe they were just born with a natural sense of impending doom overall and just look toward new outlets when one is proven wrong.

I don't know. I've never understood these things.

It is because their love has grown cold.

It is like those that came to John the baptist.

He came to announce to the people that the kingdom of God was upon them, to prepare themselves by turning (repenting) their hearts to God.

Yet many came to him out of fear thinking that he was preaching the day of the Lord and God's wrath being poured out upon the earth. Thus John said, "Who has warned you to fear the wrath to come? Go away and come back when you have fruits befitting repentance."

Even the demons knew that this time (the day of the Lord) was not upon them yet when they asked Jesus, "Have you come to torment us before the time?" They did not know why He was here, just as much as many of the Pharisees and scribes did not understand what John was preaching.

It is written that the love of many shall grow cold and the hearts of men shall fail them (fear). Those that delight in unrighteousness will be given over to a lie, a strong delusion, they will turn to fables (imaginary stories, even conspiracies as you have called it) by gathering to themselves teachers by having itching ears.

Yet just as there were those that searched the deep things of God and found the treasure of Yeshua's (Jesus') coming hidden in the scriptures of old, even the mysteries of heaven concerning the day of the Lord and the times leading up to it are also hidden in the scriptures of old and new. But to those that do not believe and pleasure themselves in unrighteousness, it cannot be found. But to those that believe and that love the Lord, our God, it shall be made known to them and no longer be a mystery.

So what then should we do? Hold fast to the promises that were given, even from the very beginning, humble ourselves before God, and trust in the gift of the Holy Spirit that was given to us to teach us all things. Having one teacher (and not many) we are able to come into one accord and in agreement through the love of God; that we would walk in the light as He is in the light and be cleansed from all unrighteousness and have fellowship with one another.

For those that do not yet know; repent for the day of the Lord is at hand. Jesus Christ (Yeshua) is come in the flesh, God has raised Him from the dead. Believe, every one of you and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit and it shall be done for you.

I like the irony of how some of those "conspiracy theories" run on a parallel course with end-time prophetic judgment. Those are the ones that I take special interest in, and investigate them to their fullest. More often than not, I discover that they're not a conspiracy after all.;)

Which is worse in the end? a conspiracy theorist, or an anti-conspiracy theorist? One of the reasons people make such a big deal out of the "conspiracy theories" is all the misinformation planted on the Internet to make the theorists look stupid. But wait: isn't that also conspiracy theory?

I dunno, Stilly, I don't get it either *shrugs* Maybe they haven't actually read their Bibles..

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Romans 8:15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

Nothing is going to happen that will come as a surprise to the God I serve. He will protect me and prepare me for whatever that might be.

"There is a difference between 'conspiracy theory' and 'conspiracy fact'..."

( Perhaps I will get an opportunity soon to expound on this further...? )

Do you understand what Stephen "has said without saying" here?

Or, maybe they have...

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ~ Ephesians 6:12

( Some folks understand more than others the 'quintessence' of what this verse is talking about --- how it applies to the true nature of the reality we live in... )

Needless to say, these verses are true -- so then, there need not be any fear coupled with the discovery of knowledge of how Satan operates in the world today.

Nothing is going to happen that will come as a surprise to the God I serve. He will protect me and prepare me for whatever that might be.
Nothing is a surprise to God; however, it may be a surprise to you - if you do not keep your eyes open to see it coming...

If you do not understand what to look for --- it makes it more difficult to see...

( Many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many things in this world are "hidden in plain sight"... )

No Christian needs to be afraid. It wouldn't be a surprise to God because He is in it. And yes, He will prepare us.
I have a question for you: during the days before Judaea's captivity in Babylon, besides hearing the prophets, where else would you be able to find out the news that was going to happen? Within the Babylonian government, of course. The reason they would be talking about it would be because God was putting it in their heads. Word would hit the streets of Babylon, eventually. In other words, there would be a spiritual side (the prophecies of God's servants), and the worldly side (secular news)running parallel side-by-side. They would be a little different, but those who know what to look for would see the parallelism. It's the same way today, except the US news media won't tell it. So it's left up to others on the Internet to do it. No, we can't believe them all, but when we look closely we can see those which parallel with the Scriptures. For example, the Scriptures concerning the Antichrist rule versus the NWO. So far, they seem to be running neck and neck. I don't listen to all the theories....... just the ones that parallel with Scripture. And then I prove them with thorough investigation.

I can fully understand why some folks are against the theories. I was once hard-core against them myself. Then I watched the multiple videos online from local news stations concerning 9/11. That was one of the biggest eye-opener's I've ever had except for the time I was saved.

I think perhaps my post was misunderstood and it appears to have been taken that I prefer to stick my head in the sand. Sorry about that.:) I forgot that I was in the forums and not on FB where many of the people of these forums know what I really do for a living and the types of sites I'm required to monitor worldwide (which is where I normally discuss this stuff with Stilly :) ). :) Please forgive me for being a bit vague.

Being informed is one thing. Being paranoid is another. Circulating false intel is yet another, as far too many people don't confirm sources. Bad times are going to come. Jesus said that. Bad times have already come time and time again. God was faithful to His people through them all. He will continue to do so. :)

I think you a few of you would be in agreement with me on this.

Amos 3
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

It appears that we are in agreement as well that we should not be fearful of the things to come. Will others be fearful of what they hear? Certainly. Just like the Pharisees and scribes were also fearful of the things that John the baptist was saying.

There is a stirring with the body of Christ. It is not a call to be fearful. But there is a call to also not be complacent; hearing, but not doing. Jesus warned that it would be like in the days of Noah and that many would just continue their daily lives as usual. Watch and pray.

I don't think that any of you meant offense to any of the other. I kind of see what I posted above as a mix of what you all are saying. Hoping I am right. :)

I completely agree that we should not be complacent, Markum. And I love the comment you made in your previous post about not allowing our passion for Christ to wax cold. That is the one verse of the Revelation that spurs my heart above all others.

GRA and Pastor Steve are awesome sauce. They know it and I know it. :)
