I really enjoy a gut-busting laugh :D I have always thought of myself as being a pretty funny guy. I can laugh at myself even when nobody else will....yeah, sometimes I look a bit crazy laughing at what appears to be nothing at all.

My question(s) to you are:

- Has there ever been a time where somebody you know has put so much effort into being funny, and it was so obvious that it didn't make you laugh? Instead maybe you just smiled and rolled your eyes.

- Do you find it more humorous when you find that the person wasn't trying to be funny at all?

- Which is more likely to get you ROFL:

A video that appears to be totally scripted/fake?
OR
A video that you would have a hard time believing was scripted or set up?

- Where do you draw the line between funny and just plain stupid?

- What sort of things get you lol-ing the most or what is the funniest moment you have ever witnessed?

I know for myself there are plenty of times where I tried so enthusiastically to be funny that it just wasn't funny at all. I have known a few people that try too hard to be funny all the time. I tend to notice that sometimes the funniest moments are the ones that require little to no thought or just come naturally.

Personally, I think it is much more humorous when it seems that the video has a genuine quality to it. Some moments you just can't fake. Which is most likely why I find babies and animals funnier than most humans.

I laugh at all sorts of things, but I know where to draw the line.....most times. When people try to make home-made Jack @ss videos and knowingly put themselves at high risk of injury or even death, yeah, that is going a bit too far. Leave it to the professional idiots please!!!

I have witnessed many funny moments, but I'll save them for another post.

I was just speaking with someone last night about how I laugh at everything.
Definitely the genuine video would cause me to laugh the most. I find very ironic things hilarious, along with puns and people's funny stories from their actual life. I think the truth is often funniest. :D With that said, I've often found MAD TV and SNL's skits with a tweak on real life absolutely hilarious.

I also laugh when people fall......after making sure they're ok first, of course. ;)

I can definately identify with this. You know the saying: "Truth is stranger than fiction" I would say in most instances "Truth is funnier than fiction"

Last weekend, my Mom, Dad, Sister, Nephew and I all went to visit my little Bro who had conveniently moved an hour away earlier this year. We were going to have some family time while his roomate was away and also decorate some Christmas cookies. My Brother had been talking for a couple weeks of this crazy lady who moved into one of the apartments in the complex who talks to herself and is always standing outside of his door. He told our Nephew about this and he was so fascinated, almost to the point of obsession. He kept looking out the front door, probably every 15 mintues or so, to see if that lady was outside. I don't know if it was paranoia, curiosity or what but it had us all laughing.

About two hours after arriving we were taking a break from frosting cookies and were all sitting in the living room, except my Brother. Next thing you know some crazy looking figure with wild hair, hunched over, wearing a bathrobe came running out of the back room. The person ran right up to my Nephew and screamed at him. His reaction was a girly shreik and a look of pure terror. He grabbed ahold of my Mom and she grabbed ahold of him, as she was also spooked.

Then my Brother lifted up his head then he pulled off his messy Justin Beiber look-a-like wig from his head. We all broke out into hysterical laughter, laughed to the point of tears, and continued to laugh about it the rest of the time we were there. I felt like I had done about 200 consecutive sit-ups. I can't help but to laugh every time I think of this and will probably never forget this moment as long as I live.

If it weren't for laughter, my abdominal muscles would probably be weak and totally out of shape lol.

Its all about two words, my friend: Timing and Delivery ;)

If a joke is too drawn out, it fails. If its so short that people can't easily understand it, it fails. This goes for text as well as speaking. A good joke teller or comedian is a good communicator. And that goes for all forms of entertainment as well (being a good communicator). The medium doesn't really matter. There was a guy who edited subway billboards and left everyone in stitches who looked at them.

And of course the idea behind the joke or material has to be good too, or even the best communicator can't make it funny. ;)

I laugh almost with everything, when a person is trying to be funny but its not makes me laugh to see the face of the rest of the ppl, i laugh with funny videos too (when they dont put in risk the life of anyone), i like many comediants, i like dark humor too (with respectful), i like the funny stories that ppl tell of failures, so maybe the only humor i dont like are practical jokes.

Here is the subway poster artist/vandal at work. Some of his stuff is a lot funnier than the one in this video, but it shows what he does. He only uses a razor blade..

Laughing babies are among my favorite videos to watch. Not sure how to embed videos like that, but here is the link:

Senile Talking Cat! (The Original) - YouTube

This one cracked me up the first time I watched it. I think it had a lot to do with the name the video was given. ENJOY!

Awww loved the little kitties. It does look like that one is talking! lol

Here's how to embed YT videos:

1. Lets say this is the link (URL): hhtttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbEXr9-5UjI&feature=youtu.be

2. Grab everything after the FIRST equal sign, like this: jbEXr9-5UjI&feature=youtu.be

3. Now you just have to place that between two youtube commands like this:

[youttube]jbEXr9-5UjI&feature=youtu.be[/youttube]

NOTE:
I misspelled 'youtube' so it wouldn't actually put the video there.

And there you have it! :D There are some videos it doesn't work on, but it works on most.

Thanks Turbo, in case I ever forget I got a permanent referrence. I don't think it would have worked for that video anyway because it said embedding was disabled.
