Non-Denom (short hand for Non-Denominational, and often spoke of in ill terms by Denominational circles, much like they illustrated)

I'm not entirely against Christianese. There are times when such words are needed.

Like any good entertainer will tell you, your audience, timing, and context are every bit as important as the words spoken.

I feel like this is trying to demasculate Christian men. Mocking. It's portraying them as air heads. hmmm

Fellowship is gonna be sweet tonight.
Should men not absolutely love spending time with their brothers and sisters in Christ and be excited? I think something is wrong if they're not.

There is a difference between Christianity and American Christian culture. In the eastern Orthodox they have words like Theotokos, Prokeimenon and Vespers.

And yes, phrases like Pretrib Postmillennialist mean something to us, in the same way that "13-34 first strike flying" means something to someone else or "Pulling Wham block" or "Feeding the Shaft Seals" mean something to other people.

But I don't want to be in the club. I don't want to wear the tight V-neck "Not of this World" t-shirt. I don't want to speak of sanctification over my Iced double non-fat Latte, that I bought inside my church.

I want to use the language of men, to speak to men. Otherwise we wind up sounding like the Pod'Lair and no one is going to take us seriously. That is the problem with having an inside language.

Pod'Lair \| Everything is Energy Evolving <Pod'Lair, because even if they had any substance to their cult, it would be obscured in the foreign nature of their language. (Which is still English btw, well sort of)

Haha, made me laugh. I know it's just for for ridiculous' sake but it made me wonder how Christian culture is devolving into this subculture where church is a social club and you have to have the right lingo and be so PC that it comes off as arrogance. Once or twice they throw God's name in there but really it all sounds like people that recently came from a self help seminar (complete with free cinnabuns and a tote bag). Just makes me think of how Jesus was around people and how he spoke to them. I mean, you want to talk about good Christian composure: Jesus flipped tables like a rock star and chased people with a whip. Jesus was not worried about offending people.

And emasculating men how? That makes no sense...

I'm still trying to figure out why so many worship leaders want to look like Buddy Holly in skinny jeans...

They also have the general disposition of Madonna. I'm speaking of the male leaders.

Hahahaha. Have they tried a forced read on you yet?
No, I'm not on PerC or NFgeeks YouTube branch. I try to keep a low profile, just in case the Pod'Lair decide on another Zerg rush.

I find it so funny when people come along and claim how their MO is new... Pod Lair is old, old mystical stuff. Old stuff, new name.

A friend of mine (although I should use the term friend loosely) has gotten into "New" Monasticism. It breaks my heart, actually. It's Christian mysticism (which is real) and a lot of nonsense. I'm not sure what's so scary just believing in and following the God of the bible. Why twist things around so we appear cool or extra holy or whatever? It's just so silly to me.

Hmm.... eloborate?

I don't see how living a Cloistered simple life is Mystical.

New Monasticism is essentially a modern take on living in a Monastery.

Pod'Lair Hijacked the MBTI terminology, renamed the functions and attempted to make it appeal to Religion, Psychology, Sociology, Politics, and Some kind of funky Mysticism all in one fell swoop. All while elaborately disguising what they are doing with strange terminology that can only be deciphered through a reading or through one of their Mojo Gurus.

In Christianity we have some pretty fantasmagorical mysticism going on in various places, like the secret or like Theophostic Pseudo healers or Christian Homeopathic Superstition.
