That same maker made laws for quarantine... Laws like lepers are supposed to wear a cloth over their upper lips.

Leviticus 13:45
And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.
Exactly. The Maker says it is the sick who are to isolate, not the healthy. The key difference between quarantine and tyranny. Note also this isolation was for deadly diseases (e.g. leprosy) which is both demonstrably lethal and contagious, not imaginary diseases (i.e. an umbrella of various illnesses such as designated by the Covid label) which are for the most part neither lethal nor contagious.

The mask wearing and physical distancing in countries such as China, Australia and other European nations, has proven to be effective.
No it hasn't. There never was a virus in these places, as the intelligent have been claiming from the beginning. The mask wearing and physical distancing is being credited for what real scientists were saying from the start - the alleged virus will have no impact, and it didn't. Scientific studies have shown that mask wearing doesn't prevent the flu. A recent study has shown that there was no statistical difference in corona-cases between mask-wearers and mask-rejectors.

There is no science on anti-social distancing, so far as I'm aware. To scientificaly claim that anti-social distancing works, one would at least have to prove the alleged virus exists, and that if it exists, it is contagious. As this has never been done, one can't scientifically claim that anti-social distancing prevents the coronavirus, anymore than it wards off evil coronavirus demons.

The science is VERY clear...

He does not believe viruses exist so you are just banging your head against the wall, there is no reasoning with him sadly.

When I speak about science, I mean science in the true sense of the word, not the redefined Communistic definition which basically equates to "whatever the government or its puppets claim is science".

I know. It's like debating with flat-earthers.
Flat-Earthers are correct about Earth's shape.

Communistic? This not the 1950's McCarthyism.

Flat-earthers have a Dark Ages mentality towards science.

Well there IS "Craziness" in this thread title. Might as well drag flat-earth into it too.

Though I still say cats would have already pushed everything off the edge of a flat earth by now...

Ain't it great living in an age where we can google up "facts" to support anything we want to believe!

If I wanted to believe the lizard people are taking over the world, I bet I could find a website that "proves" it. Confirmation bias is so easy these days.

I mean, you don't even have to TRY any more. All you do is pick something you prefer to believe, like "covid is not real, and masks do more harm than good, because I don't want to be inconvenienced so I choose to believe this." Then you can google up a lot of "facts" to support it, vigorously deny anybody else's facts as rumors and government lies, and presto! You're secure in the belief that you know everything and everybody around you is a simpering idiot.

I have a globe in my library.
I was trying to demonstrate where the North Pole was to juniors but they all crowded me out and nearly broke my globe. But they do at least know the earth is round and not flat.

The school did a unit on the universe last year and several classes made models of the solar system. Maybe some schools avoid this topic?

the thing is you cant assume everyone on a forum, even a christian forum, has been to school and learned these things. It is quite possible some people on here have never been to school. Or maybe they were Homeschooled, and were taught that the world was flat.

Oh they went to school. They just don't believe a word of it. The school is run by the government, y'see, and the government lies about the world being round. At least that's what they say.

Why the government would want to lie about the world being round, what profit there would be in such a subterfuge, that I can't figure out.

The latest from xkcd:

covid_precaution_level.png

It's frustrating trying to calibrate your precaution level when there's really only one definitive feedback you can get, you only get it once, and by the time you get the feedback it's too late.:cautious:

So if Trump wins the election, will you concede that the Earth is indeed flat? :) Easy to make claims - much harder to be right.
