Women are so hard to figure out...I almost always wait for them to show interest.
Oh Mitspa!
She was batting her eyes at you; There wasnt dirt in them.:p

Women are not hard to figure out.
We give plenty of clues. Its a matter of reading comprehension.....

See, that is where it gets complicated. Everybody knows that reading comprehensions ALWAYS come with a set of questions which have to be answered. :p

Well, I won't speak for mits, but I, for one, am clueless, I can't take hints, and even struggle reading the parables. Lol. And I guess I'm too old to play games, and be teased, which seems too much like condescension and ridicule anyway.
And now I hear that women like to say things like 'well if you don't know, I'm not gonna tell you'. Wha...? Ok, then I'm doomed to being single. I mean, I really like women, God's finest creation (He saved the best for last, you might say), and it would be great to have someone to pray, praise, help others, and grow with. But unless she bops me over this thick head, and takes me to her lair, I just don't know, but in 2015, it seems almost illegal for a guy, especially my age, to try to even befriend a woman. Just holding out hope that someday the Lord bashes the two of us together (so tight the two become one).
I'm pray He makes me the right person, and He keeps her protected. I can do neither without Him.

Actually, comprehension isn't so much the problem as subtext. ;)

I feel for guys in general in having to read our minds. I can't even figure out what I'm feeling or thinking at times so how could I expect a man to figure it out. I used to be very shy and timid and now I am more direct so if I like a guy I will bluntly tell him, however it's up to him to reciprocate it and move forward from there that is if the feelings are mutual.

In my case, I'll show you I'm interested, or if you show me you're interested...I'll respond.

If it's not an instant infatuation or clear cut, and the female chooses to be 'hands off' about the whole thing... I probably won't bark up that tree.

Continuing with that dog analogy, i've had my nose and snout and body scratched and sprayed and stung enough to know not to chase after girls like it's breeding season.

Just sayin' ...that's where I'm at.

Well to be honest, with the new rape laws now in place, where a man basically "rapes" a woman if she changes her mind about sex on the fly, then he is due for prison. I feel really sorry for the newer generation of men who are going to fall into this trap that takes away their basic rights.

Its best to let the woman pursue due to the biased laws that now are heavily pointed at men, which will end up destroying some of their lives.

Well, I would have to agree that SOME women have cried rape after regretting having been sexually active with a man. In most of the cases that I'm aware of the woman (and usually the man) were intoxicated at the time which places them in a legal classification of being unable to consent to sexual contact (it is considered unlawful sexual contact if the person is legally incapacitated).

That being said, if persons are remaining sexually pure and waiting for marriage the above situation becomes a moot point.

^I usually look at problems like these in our world, and put the blame on the fallen world in general. Its neither the mans fault or the womans fault, they are both to blame. If we didnt have a world where "casual sex" with strangers, going out to seek a mate, dressing provocatively and not only supporting the idea that consensual sex is totally harmless, but celebrating it, none of this would ever be a problem for anyone. If the whole world followed Gods word, men and women marrying each other, staying with their spouse like they promised, and were there for each other when that need comes to them, we wouldnt even have these issues to begin with.

Most of the worlds problems arent so one sided, its not one gender or one race or the rich or the poor that are to blame for the problems of the earth, its all due to the pursuit of evil that man lives for everyday.

I do like it when a guy pursues me. It allows me to know if you're serious or not. When there's a lack of pursuing, I tend to pull away because I also don't want to be that obnoxious female who's putting herself out there when the guy's not budging.

And also, out of respect for me......;)

I still put myself out there, though. But not to a point where I'm throwing myself at your feet and begging you to pursue me. I'm the kind of person who, if you don't show interest at all, it's water under the bridge and I tend to walk away with no hard feelings.

Which laws are these? Where are they enforced?

It is sad here in Oregon, have heard teenage girls state (not just some, but a lot) "I want an older man, this way if he gets out of line..I will have them arrested for statutory rape!" This made me ill, and very sorry for men around here.

Why does it make you sorry for the men? Why would a man get involved with a teenage girl? That's completely ethically inappropriate.

If someone commits a sin and experiences a negative consequence for their sin are they a VICTIM?

The only way that a Christian man would be subject to these kinds of manipulations is if he allowed some level of imprudent (at best) or inappropriate behavior to happen with a such a girl.

As for me, I've worked with teens for many many years and haven't met many girls like this.

Because these girl went into great detail on how they would manipulate a man into sex.
As for the guy asking for, my little brother got caught into one of those traps. It was his 21st birthday, and yes he was drinking..but someone thought it was funny to drop his pants, and some girl who had a fake ID decided to perform (there was contact, but only for a moment). He jumped back, pulled up his pants, and left his own party. 3 in the morning, our house was surrounded by police, and he was accused of rape. Now after he left, the girl got sexual with two other guys. She even showed up, and told one girl that she brought birth control just in case she is raped..setup! My brother got slammed by the DA, even after the trial..the girl admitted that my brother was innocent, but the other guys were not. So to find what is fair, depends on the situation..I don't condone what some men do, I am not on their side. As I was raped when younger, I believe they need to be careful with this law..that's all

I pursued a guy once. It was back in my college days. It wasn't mutual.

I mentioned in my previous post I don't know how to give clues, but fortunately, recently, it has worked out for me lol

Pretty much. Guys who are innocent do not have due process anymore when it comes to false charges. Its not the real charges i'm worried about, where a guy DID do something and gets the penalty box for it. Its the ones who didn't do anything, and have their lives destroyed because a girl is using it to her advantage. I know a girl who pulled this on her dad, and he got something like 20+ years in prison and he didn't even touch her. She came out admitting it years later, he was released, but nothing happened to her.

Think of that level of power, where women can go around locking up men merely on accusations alone. There is no due process and I really hate christian women who go around acting like unless the guy is a Paragon or Jesus Christ himself walking this earth, then he deserves what he gets. If the situation were reversed, where we were locking up women on mere accusations from men.. well you already know what people would be saying. But this society hates men, so i'm not suprised anymore.
