Is there a song that makes you think of someone special everytime you hear it? What's the song?

Well. Good thread. I'm one who relates music to people a lot. There are two songs i can think of that make me think of two different people. Oddly enough both are ex girlfriends and they both had major impacts on my life. Both literally helped me move forward to where i'm at now. So in a way it kind of makes me smile when i hear the songs. That and the one ex is my best friend still. Anyways here are the songs.

For my ex Charity. It has to be the song Fields Of Gold. Not the Sting version though, i like the more blues sound Eva Cassidy put on it. That was literally our song.

For my ex and bestfriend Anna. It's Queen of My Doublewide Trailer by Sammy Kershaw. She loves that song and it just fits us both so perfectly.

So there you go, those are the only two i can really think of right now.

Hmm... probably the biggest one, is my ex-fiance... that titanic song by celine dione. i hated the movie. and the song. but it was at a time when things were looking really good for us as a couple, and the place i worked played it all the time, so it got hammered into my brain. now i still hate the movie.. and the song... and now not a big fan of my ex-fiance either.. hmm..

I heard an upbeat song on the radio earlier tonight as I was driving home from work which I believe was called "She Doesn't know She's Beautiful" that reminded me of one of the girls from my church. By no means is she a text book beauty queen per say however, she is a pretty girl who doesn't need make up or fancy outfits to catch your eye. She definitely has that "girl next door" thing going for her. ;)

However, the most beautiful thing about her has absolutely nothing to do with her appearance at all but rather, her heart towards people. She is one of the sweetest, most caring people that I have ever met. You have to see her pray for and minister to people to really understand. There's no doubt in my mind that she's 100% genuine.

What I wouldn't give to be 10 years younger... :D *lol*

Oddly enough, I really don't think about any of my ex's that much. Looking back I can see how those relationships were never meant to be. If I had married the girl that I was most serious about, there is no doubt in my mind that I would be working my tail off in order to pay for a huge house and a pair of expensive cars that my ex would have insisted that we must have just to fit into her family rather than spending time with our children. :(

"Carnival of Rust" by Poets of the Fall reminds me of my ex. That's because it was "our song."
