I wanted to start a new thread to try to balance out what many of us have
said in Liamson's thread. I think there is a way to combine the small talk that
goes on with the seriousness of our daily walk with God.

I would love for this thread to be one where we can just talk about anything
but with the ability to post seriousness among the joking. Some may not
agree that it is possible but when you have a conversation with someone,
there are times it is light-hearted and other times that it is just open and
honest needs being discussed. We all get on here at different times, yet
there are always times of someone needing prayer, an ear to hear, or just
encouragement. Let's let this thread be just that. Let us encourage one
another, pray for one another, talk about our day, and just all together
edify the body of Christ. Let's not let any strife or drama enter this thread,
so that those who need to be lifted up have a place to go to lay their
burdens at Christ's feet and be built up in their faith. Please don't read
someone's comment without at least one person responding IF it is
someone reaching out in frustration, anger, hurt, or despair.

I think it's a great idea. I've been feeling like my focus is shifted slightly. I need to get my personal time straightened out and spend more time with God. If my focus is on God then my thoughts will reflect that. I've gotten off track lately and I don't want that.

I completely agree, Dying!
I want to get back to having my thinking tried with the word as people post
it. I want to delve into His word and what He has for me even more as the
day approaches. Just talking is great, but I have so much more on my mind
than just "talk".

I used to be in the habit of praying every single night as I waited to fall asleep. Now I'm lucky if I can A) remember to pray, and B) get out a quick "thanks, Lord" before I fall asleep.

I don't like that. There's a very definite difference in my attitude and thoughts when I don't take the time to really talk to God. This is something I'm working on, and of course I can always find an excuse...but I know, and God knows, I could do it if I really focused.

Now I lay me down to sleep...mumble something something mumble...

Well, here goes nothing.

I pray with my children every night when they go to bed, but it isn't the same as
one on one time with God. I still am amazed at the peace that comes from prayer.
It never fails that when I am hurting or stressed that all I have to do is get on my
knees in prayer and peace enters my spirit instantly.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him,that if we ask anything according to His will,He hears us.
And we know that He hears us ,whatever we ask,we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
1 John 5:14-15

That is a pretty awesome thought to know this. The part where it's written "He hears us"..that for me,is even more exciting & powerful than the fact that we have those things we asked for!

To know in my heart..not just in my head that the Most High God hears "me"..."me"...it's such a personal thing. The fact that Jesus made himself our beautiful intercessor ,that bridge to the father's ears to me is simply mind blowing.

God is in the details. He wants us to know that He cares about every little thing in our lives...nothing is to great or small for Him. He wants us to know him intimately,deeply,wonderfully.

I know that I want God to use me in everything...to my full capacity...he's designed me to be love in full expression.
I think that's the heart cry of all His children. "Here I am Lord,use me!"
He will,no doubt. He does.
Right now.
Every second.
In all we do.
When we are submitted to Him 1st...how can we help not but to walk in what He has for us? We are a living breathing example of His life & love on this earth.
No matter if yer' changing a kid's diaper...mowing your lawn...making a corporate deal for millions...having lunch with a friend...doing the dishes for your spouse...washing your car...
All we do can glorify Him...in all the little details...He's in everything...and that's awesome!

This song keeps going over & over in my head. I've not heard it in ages. I remember my Mom used to sing it all the time.
"This is the day,this is the day that the Lord has made,let us rejoice & be glad in it!"
Just makes me smile remember it. :)

Lord I pray that with each passing conversation .. You are found there .. the love if who you are is revealed there .. Using your thoughts and your words given to is as a precious gift , be used to share who you are , what you are doing our lives .. this is such a precious gift you've given to us.. To edifying and glorify what you by your own hands have created .. To admire the gifts and qualities your own hands have place and instilled in each of us and to know they are nothing of our doing , but all of your doing .. Not one of your creations goes without your notice .. you love all equally and the same , esteeming none over the other .. loving none less or above another .. you gave us our very first breath .. created each from your image, your idea of who you thought us to be and become as you are .. May we richly edifying the creation of your hands, what you have already found worthy to display in the world as a masterpiece for your enjoyment . may we see te king if who you are in one another ..
