I would say David. He was a man after God's own heart, but he wasn't perfect by any means. When he stumbled and failed, he would run to God for forgiveness. Not only that, but he was a great leader, had inspirational faith, and was a super awesome musician.

I like Moses. I can relate a lot with him. God asks him to do this big thing, and Moses doesn't think he's qualified for it. But God tells him that He will be with him always. I just find that encouraging.

I also like Job. He was tried and tested and eventually crumbled and questioned God. God then put him in his place. "Answer me like a man!" Ha, it's great. I can also relate with that.

I also like Paul. He admits and realizes that he did horrible things before he really knew Christ, he considered himself "the worst of sinners", yet he strived to be more Christ-like and realized that because of his past wrongdoings, he showed how Christ can save even the worst of us.

Jael was a favorite of mine. A lot of the people who were scarcely mentioned make interesting studies, people who were mentioned for the one thing they said that changed the mind of a king, or that one drink of warm milk they gave an evil king.

Mary the mother of Jesus. She willingly did all that God asked of her even if it would bring her heartache.

Besides Christ? Definitely the Apostle Paul. His letters are full of wisdom for our Day. Every lesson he teaches can be applied to this age and can bennefit us greatly if we take enough time to study them word for word and apply them to our everyday lives[:

Jeremiah, because he wasn't afraid to be honest with God about his true feelings. He accused God of deceiving him and said that he would have been been better off if he had died in his mother's womb.

That's pretty doggone honest.

Jeremiah wanted to run from God but said the calling and the Word placed within him burned like a fire he just couldn't escape.

Jeremiah's prayers and conversations with God sound a lot like my own.
