I don't like group dates particularly if it's with your mom or dad coming as well.

yeah, having your parents come on your dates doesn't sound like that much fun.

Dinner isn't boring... if you go to a cool/fun/unusual restaurant. Trying new food on a date can be fun and gives you something easy to talk about if the conversation gets slow. Or better yet, you can try making dinner for your girl, or the two of you could prepare dinner together. Even if its horrible, I'm sure she'd appreciate the attempt.

Or you could go to a concert, mini golf, paintball, sledding...

but... most of all, no matter what you do on the first date, just be yourself. if the girl is right for you, she'll want to see you again regardless of the activity! good luck!

I've never made dinner with a date, but it does sound like fun.

There are loads of things to do on a first date...but like another already posts...I don't think its about the place, but the person. I personally love going to dinner, and then a walk around the square, thru a park, something of that nature. I also think the volunteer idea was a great one as well. A first date is always nerve wracking, but not just for you, but the person you are going with as well...so don't stress too much. If God has brought you the right person, it won't matter whatever you decide.

It doesn't matter where, just be confident, clever and engaging.

Somewhere where you can talk, but there's something you both can mutually do during lulls.
Miniature Golf rocks for that.

I've never been on a date either.. but! I'd prefer somewhere with a table and access to board/card games! You could even arm wrestle or thumb wrestle haha!

Or maybe go hiking!

Or maybe you could go to a friends house and watch a movie on an avg. sized tv with microwave popcorn? haha

i dunnnno :)

I played chess once with a girl. I got so mad when I lost I knocked all the pieces off the board. It wasn't a date but still I don't recommend board games on a date.

train ride then maccas:)
LOL! That actually made me laugh so hard my husband is looking at me like I'm a freak ha. PS 'Maccas' is an aussie term, I used it once with a friend of mine who was visiting from the states and she was like 'Huh?' so thanks for showing your true aussie-ness :)

CCG Maccas is Aussie slang for McDonald's. Why won't this thing let me use quotes in my posts?

Far out that's the second time that's happened to me, as quick as I can write something and post it, by the time it appears there are already a bunch of new posts above it saying the same thing I was trying to say. Just too slow. :-(
