I often feel like I squandered my first kiss on someone I didn't really care for... but kissing is fun so no regrets here! ;)

Obviously, I'm pro kissing before marriage. I definitely suggest practice before you do it in front of all your friends and family! Haha its not a natural talent, but a developed skill (for many at least).

Don't believe me? Youtube: virgins first kiss. Oh here, I'll do it for you...

Bahaha it's so awkward!

That's not what every couple who saved their first kiss looks like. That's obviously just the one that gets the most attention.. because.. well.. look at them. ( ._.)

My friends got married a few weeks ago and their first kiss was at the altar. I don't think it was the bride's first kiss ever, but it was their first kiss as a couple and it was the groom's very first kiss ever. They didn't look awkward in the slightest. It was extremely precious and it was also a very photogenic kiss. :p

My first kiss.....I was in the 9th grade....still a tomboy....my family went to a fesival in Pennsylvania. ....amish country.....
we sat in the bleachers watching a show......they asked for volunteers for a square dance.....
my sister volunteered me.....on saturdays we were forced to take lessons....since it was at the beach..
I would bring my suit and sneek off to go swimming....so my sister thought she would get me....
and my parents would find out what I was up to......they pushed me to the stage...drag ...more like it...
they partnered me with a young man who also was dragged to it. ...we laughed at each other and
said ...why not...until they told us what dance we were doing.....it was called kiss your honey....
I had to kiss this boy in front of what seemed to be a million....more like 100...he said it would be
ok....and it was.....he was sweet and kind....and a good sport...wasnt my plan but it was memorable...

for some it is not the first kiss that matters, but the last.

Er... I would love to say that I initially thought the same as you but that just wouldn't be true. My first thought was the kiss of death. My mind goes to weird places sometimes. :)

My first kiss was from a little boy I didn't know at daycamp when i was around 7ish, on my injured hand.

My first 'lips' kiss was a bad experience in my life.

I've had kisses and whatever with boyfriends, but I am still waiting for my first kiss. I don't know if thats silly to wait for something thats long gone. But yeah waiting for my first and last one.

Bahaha it's so awkward!

Trying to eat each other's faces, or swallow the other tongue?

Anyway, don't feel bad shou... My first kiss? Spin the bottle in 6th grade. Her name was Sarah. Same girl as my worst breakup story.

Many kisses since then. Still don't think I'm 'good' at it, and definitely a practiced skill, not natural talent.

Unfortunately for me, I really don't get more out of kissing than I do out of other touch...like cuddling or holding hands....it's all the same to me.. The meaning behind it is what matters.

I grew up in an atypical family, though, where kissing was a sign of affection, so as a child I kissed my parents and close relatives. Anyway...

Actually my mind went to the kiss of death too... Either Tintin isn't really that weird or I'm just as weird as he. Or maybe it was just the way it was phrased.

Certainly.

First kiss? Some girl in kindergarden tried to kiss me... my blocking skills weren't good enough and she succeeded. I always enjoyed hanging out with the girls, but kissing them, that was just plain gross!

Second/actually meaningful one? My last relationship was quite a few years ago, and as much as I wanted to kiss her, I couldn't bring myself to - my heart was already telling me she wasn't going to work out. So, no second. This was actually a good thing as when I had to finally break up with her, it was painful enough to keep thinking of what I'd given up (I really did care, she was just... not there in a way that I'd want in a marriage).

Were I dating someone today? Depends on the someone and how I felt about them. The answer is yeah, I'm probably going for it though.

But with the existential debates about how it's so much more special with the "one", and the "last kiss" - it's time for me to break out this gem.

"How bout the way he acts
Oh no, that's not the way
You're not listening to what I say
If you wanna know
If he loves you so
It's in his kiss
That's where it is
Oh it's in his kiss
That's where it is"

I'll never forget when my son told me about his first kiss. It was with his first girlfriend and they were at her house on the couch kissing. Her dad walked in on them and caught them kissing. He immediately yelled at both of them for "making out" on his couch and told my son it was time for him to go home. Then when her dad told her mother the story, he referred to what they were doing as "heavy petting." His girlfriend was furious at her dad for embellishing and making such a big deal over nothing.

Good grief, that's rough! I'm rather naive, but isn't "heavy petting" more akin to groping? A kiss that is not.

Exactly! That's why his girlfriend was so upset with her dad. My son refused to go over to her house after that. Her dad was very overprotective!

Well, some dads are. I remember a country song, written as though a young lady's father was talking to her date. "You kids go have fun, I'll be here... cleaning my gun."
