The original posters argument is so full of rediculous ideas it is insane. What i have noticed in young people, especially girls in this day and age, is that they place way too much emphasis on this whole church thing, don't people realize that even if you have a group of people meeting in your house every week that is a church? Why in the world would a girl tell us men that to be worthy of a wife we need to make sure to go to church every sunday when most of the churches these days is backwards and liberal????.

Find me a church that tells the parents of the children that we need to take our kids out of the public schools that are brainwashing our children with liberal ideas. Find me a church that teaches to the young and old women alike that their first priority is to the kids and husband and to stop the obsession with careers and college which is helping brainwash our young female generation. Find me a church that stops obsessing over missionary trips and charities when they wont even deal with basic biblical principles in their own congregation, such as homosexuality and females in leadership. We are teaching people that it is ok to use drugs to help with depression when in fact we should be relying only on God for our mental well being.

And another huge issue is our youth. Show me in the Bible where music was ever used as a tool for ministry? Where did this new age term "music ministry" come from? Yet we are using rock and roll music and culture to try and bring the young people into the church.

Us men could make a thread detailing what a woman needs to do to be submissive and ready to have a boyfriend or husband. But that is pointless, It comes down to one thing, the wife being able to submit to her husband and the husband being able to submit to God and both of them growing in t he faith together with the man the head of the household spritually. the rest is just plain hogwash.

You may be right. I do know a church that has encouraged it's parents to take our kids out of public schools. It should be noted that-that church had a christian school . They promoted it... for the $$$

Thanks man, glad SOMEONE still has old fashioned values, becoming a rarity even in so called "Christian" circles.

I feel very disheartened that men think growing in qualities (which the bible tells us specifically to do ie fruit of the spirit) is rediculous and insane. I never said church is THE ONLY place to get it. Im saying church provides the most straightforward social environment for people to learn.

Hawkfan did you not read my thread at all??? Leadership and submitting go hand in hand. Why do characteristics like that freak you out? Has no one noticed that I respect and agree with the biblical principle that men were created as leaders? Im not telling you men what to do, Im telling you what women have told me what they want. Onle one guy during this thread has graciously and kindly critiqued my thread (thankyou Matthew) and the rest I feel just skimmed through my thread once and then decided to bite my head off like a shark. Ive told everyone that I want to make a thread for the women as well as we're not innocent either.

God created women to be mans helper - an advisor. Has any guy here been so outraged that they bought a girl to the computor to comfirm that I was talking smack? I didnt realise it was a crime for a 21 year old woman to ask men to be more kind and discerning and honest and trustworthy. If you want to rant about education reforms write your own thread and keep the irrelevancy out of mine.

God bless

Hawkfan - everthing that you want here is very valid, and you are also right it will be very hard for you to find a church like that. So I suggest you join the Amish. Your doctrinal views are spot on with them. They have uneducated and submissively unopinioned women a plenty, they look after their own kind and dont do any missionary trips and they educate their children by their own kind. Sounds like just the thing for you :)

You must have completely missed my post at the bottom of page 1. You were making all sorts of crazy demands and telling us not to laugh at fat ladies.

For the most part I agree with this post. The biggest problem in today's society is that men don't know how to act like men, and some women don't want to act like women.

I know my own nature, I know that when I get into a situation I want to control it and be the leader- but I also know that when I meet a man who submits to my leadership I view him as not having a backbone. I think a lot of men want to please women and win them over and submitting seems like the best answer... but then you end up with the cliched "wife who controls everything, husband who just agrees and does everything she says so there's peace" scenerio.

I can only speak for myself but I enjoy when I challenge a man and he comes up on top. Secretly I want to be dominated by a strong male. (Dominated, not abused) I think most women do, they want to see a man who can take control of a situation and be the hero- and you know who often has that sort of drive? Jerks! Yes- you want to know why women fall for jerks? Because jerks act alive and don't give in to everyone around them. They have strong character, not good character, but they know how to stand on their own two feet and speak out and lead!

But I'm starting to go off on a tangent. The bottom line is... believing in God is good, but you want to have to help yourself, which means working on yourself.

Now, now, don't they all say men love a CHALLENGE??? :D

Although... I have to admit to laughing my butt off over the part in which someone said, "You were too busy telling us not to laugh at fat ladies..."

Sound advice if I ever heard it!! :p

A challenge maybe, but womens mood swings are an unstoppable force, and to stand against them is almost suicidal. :D

It's probably all the same, but women work to a schedule so it's much more scary because we can always see it coming. :p

I am trying to think of some kind of sub-clause of encouragement to add to this thread for all the poor guys out there... but... funny thing... all that comes to mind is,

"You can do it!! Yes, even you, you poor, tired bloke! With enough hard work, discipline, and God's good grace (because the good Lord knows you'll need it), you too can change and become everything a good Christian woman wants!!!"

I'M KIDDING, PEOPLE... TOTALLY KIDDING!!!

For any poor guy who may be offended by my post, please look up my current thread about how God likes to knock the wind out me :D.

I also wanted to add a sub-clause to my own post :) in saying that all the points Kiwi listed... are definitely things I need to work in for myself as well. ;)

I don't doubt that women want the things described in this thread. I just think its annoying that women want some of these things. Things like good social standing and reputation (popularity). I think that's kind of superficial. People shouldn't care what other people think.
