Well, for me, most of it is escaping reality...cuz truthfully, i hate most of reality...xD The world of games are so superior imo and id luv to be able to go into the game world an stay there :p but yea, i just luv the stories, for me thats what matters most, and its so awesome to have the story in an interactive form (unlike movies and books) and some games let u make choices with a branching storyline depending on what u choose (awesomeness)
Heavy Rain is one of my most anticipated games but ive been busy with other games lately...im currently playing thru the Final Fantasy series (thats gonna take awhile) and also the Fatal Frame series (my 2 fave genre's are Survival Horror and RPG) :D Big horror fanatic...but yea, basically i just luv being someone much kewler than myself and living another much kewler life in a much kewler world lol

PS: Im waiting for the holodeck from Star Trek to be developed WOOT to actually be IN the game world *stares starry eyed at the ceiling*
(yes i have no life and im addicted, but i dont care lol)

Peace Out pplz :D

*finishes his soda and chips* dude my first was an atari too!!!! <3 the a nintendo, then the super and then the love of my life at the time *PLAYSTATION* then one day my life changed....... I came across Final Fantasy Tactics, and ever since all my being changed!!, It inspired me to become the artist I am today! now I draw, paint, sing, play guitar, write poems, short stories, a novel, make beats in fl studio rave/techno/hardstyle do digital work in photo shop, and dabble in 3D rendering, I also sculpt and carve... my imagination, and inspiration was inspired by this game, so guess what? now my goal is work for SQUARE ENIX as head director of art and character development!!! its my dream!the music I hear inside my head, the art from my imagination, and the ability to play instruments and paint what I feel came from a video game! <3 so you can see why the whole ''cute chick holding my fav game would be awesome for me!'' anyways glad to always chat with you bro :D

Awesome, God-awesome. Never forget (good movie , BTW, with Lou diamond Phillips who was in another one of my faves, La Bamba, ) that God has given all you got, and given 'it' awesomely so, sculpted your script, so to speak, azulblue, before you were born . (Psalms 139)

Everything inside you GOOD, azul, comes/came/will come from God.

Note: your avatar gives you away, I can tell you had some sort of digital dimensional design gift, very clever, with the eyes and naming and it speaks to.me of someone with both verbal and artistic talent. Sure, it's just a guess, just like knowing God exists in your life is FAITH, but it's a good guess, not to mention a good faith because of the miracles and wonders seen impacting your life, because I'm a writer and most use the word 'intuition' regarding us.

But, yeah, neat how our gap is 22 years, a generation apart, and, vids still were same played, Atari, anyway, and, Nintendo. I've played a little Playstation but no Final Fantasy. I.loved Link, phenomenally better than 'Adventure' for Atari, graphically, but the actual competitiveness of 'Adventure' with getting keys in castles and defeating dragons, etc. was excellent, same with one other game played a lot my teen Yess, 1978-86, TI's Tunnels Of Doom. Wow! That game was ahead of it's time. I got Colecovision too, with that the first 8-bit graphics video game, but went off to college and it got lost forgotten/lost.
God bless you, too, in your graphical gui gaming challenges. I personally don't do gaming animation, nothing more than a class of 'Director' and 'Premier' 1997. But did in 1985 develop RPG campaigns out of thin air, putting monsters , traps, potions, castles, caverns into stories, much like D&D played prior to doing that on my own for friends to go through. I still feel bad that a friend, who used all his weapons , potions, etc. very well could not beat my water monster that killed with acid, the mighty Jubilex .
My best advice: Give all your dreams to God.
God bless you, too, bro .

Help me out here. What is it with guys and gaming?
Some guys, like me, also struggle to understand.

Short of dominating my rivals on MarioKart 64 or conquering the world of WarCraft 2 I'm not much on computer games, I'm so far behind the curve it's ridiculous!

Does prefering Chess make me the most boring man on earth?
:)

----mattU, just go get Eugene, and, as Simon says, 'Ofe you goo.' :D

Oh, almost forgot, bring liamsON aong, as liam prefers the vernacular human interaction as opposed to the vidular, so to speak.

And, forget the video games of conquering too, I know for you three so I stuffed liam's arms full of Castle Risk and Axis & Allies.

On that note, I got this game, a adventure game of monsters and dragons, and, BRIGANDS. My friend and I growing up played this game hours on end, it had a black electronic castle thing in the center of the board and you guys would have fun with it to as opposed to vids like WOW, Battleheart (app).

Ever heard of DarkTower ?

But while we are playing all these games , guys, (and, Yeah, I invited myself too. I LOVE CastleRisk :) ) can we go to an arcade too,?
Play a little Gauntlet? Now , THAT was the first real cool monsters vs warrior arcade game !

NOW you're talking! Chess, Scrabble..and we old folks used to play Trivial Pursuit (I stink at the sports questions tho).

And I'm thinking that if we played charades, I might finally understand more than half of what Green is saying ;)

I get confuzzled easy in chess...esp the weird L jump that the Knights do...ahhh

It's funny tho, chess confuzzles me easily and yet really complicated games like RPG's (specifically JRPG's) dont at all...FF 12 anyone? xD or FF2, ugh leveling system = yucky...

I was taught chess when a tot (4th grade) by my mom and played a lot after that, via a talking chess computer given me 6th grade (along with an Atari, must have been a very good boy that year :D ), via lunch hour in high school, via any free time in college, including a college chess tournament I won, and, vi--WAIT, Green, STOP, STOP-P-P.

YOU SEE, SON, having done that kind of playing gets you kicked OUT of that cool eugenio, liamsON, Matty, social-board-games-ONLY club ! :D

Oh, thanks, sub (conscious) , I will give you a snack, 'id,' while superego, and, ego, you get NOTHING! Letting me trip up like that, you should be ashamed of your brains .

Ok, I'm starting to cry, you're forgiven guys.

:D

I was introduced to CastleRisk in college, and, I remember playing more than a few times my freshman year. I also loved playing Trivial Pursuit (though not good at it) and pictionary (better at it, but still I didn't stick figures on paper well ;) ) and my friend and I growing up played Stratego 24 straight times. I went up 12-7 and then I was the winner. But he said we should play to the 13th game, and, so I needed one more to win this challenge. He won the series, 13-12, I still look back at that and blame my id.

Oh, shoot, now, I am crying again. I guess my 'rational' brain has feelings too :)

And second fav is Chrono Trigger. XD I know I know....I'm a nerd. :p
No, you just have your priorities mixed up, in that you placed Lunar above Chrono Trigger. :p But Lunar really is fun! I'm playing the PSX version (although I think the Sega CD version had a better battle theme).

All things in moderation, except moderation.

FPS games hold my attention now days for about an hour, tops. The genre is just way too banal and hyped up, and the vast majority of the FPS games I see are so homogenous. How many times can you be a well oiled, one man army with nearly infinite ammo, and still be entertained?

Buh-bye, multifariousness. I hardly knew thee.

Maybe it's the Irish in me but I've never understood the power that tv/video games can have over a person to the point of addiction.
My "addictions" are rugby, hurling & Shotokan karate.
