I feel really embarrassed actually. I feel like I was pretty naïve. :)

Don't be. Its life. Think of it as a self improvement learning tool. I don't have enough toes and fingers to tell you how many times I placed women on pedestal only to be let down. I got stories for days.

Does anyone know how to delete this thread? thank you
SapphireNat, there is no need for you to feel bad or embarrassed - we've all been there, done it and got the t shirt. Some guys have been there too! Life is a learning curve, we learn and then move on. You are a blessed young lady, you have so many brothers and sisters here that care for you, who can advise you to the best of our ability - ones you have never even met yet care. We make mistakes too and there is less excuse at our age. Sometimes we all let out hearts rule our heads, it's a human condition. Focus on the one love who will NEVER let you down - ever. :)

It'd be nice if people didn't play games and would be honest to themselves and everyone else.

Hmm... for some reason I read the thread title and the OP and a song started playing in the back of my mind. Something by a guy named Rick Astley.

I am still going to pray for a guy, nothing bad about it. no conversations. no checking him. I want him to be happy because Love seeks one thing only: the good of the one loved.

Hi everyone. I am a pretty new Christian. but I love God more than anyone and would never give up my Christian life. anyway I met a guy more than one year ago and I fell in love, he is a Christian too. Because I was a new Christian he decided to procrastinate our relationships. He promised that he will be back one day. so I keep paying for him more than one year, my patience is slowly dying... I can not give up hope at the same time I can not do it any more. I know "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [SUP]5 [/SUP]It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. [SUP]7 [/SUP]It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 but it is easy to say then to fulfill it.

PS Please do not reply focus on God, do not think about the guy. I am pretty focus on God right now.

Give up. I'm a christian man and if I found out my wife was a new-born christian, I would be happy because 1 - she's saved, and 2 now I can be a guider/teacher to her. I can show her what I know in the word and we can grow together.

Its been a year. If this guy wanted you, he would of done it by now. I think he simply had a nice way of letting you down gently. Plus again, its been a YEAR. You only get so many of them before time runs out.

Its best you look to the Lord and go back to doing what the Lord has for you and keep this guy off your mind. If you really want a man in your life, ask God for one. Don't be specific though. God isn't a love potion that he just pours out on people to control them and get them to want you.

No I do not need any men in my life right now. I will keep praying for the guy, if God does not answer my prayers one day I would rather stay single. For now I still have faith and hope to keep praying as long as I have to. Thanks anyway.

Also I am not praying for the guy as for the future husband or a bf. I just wish him the best in this life and bless his future wife.

Jesus said he'd be back one day, and that's the only guy you ought to wait for :).. Love is patient, but patience is not sitting and waiting for something in vain. He said "one day" and its been a year, time to write that vague promise off. If he ever does want to reunite, tell him your busy but you might be back one day.

pray for me if you do not think that I do not focus on waiting for Jesus enough. Thank you for advice about "tell him your busy but you might be back one day". In any relationships you should keep loving a person and keep forgiving every day. I would never treat a person how he treated me to get any satisfaction or revenge.
